They have typical Sichuanese cuisines with strong flavor of mala. We ordered spicy wanton soup, mapo tofu, and pork dumplings. The wanton in the soup was great, very thin and flavorful, but I didn't like their soup. The soup was salty and the flavor from mala was too strong for me. Their pork dumpling was actually soup dumplings, and they were excellent. You should order this! Lastly, mapo tofu was good, but not outstanding. It was just a regular mapo tofu taste. If you like food with mala, then you might like this place. I would come back for the dumplings, but idk about other dishes.

So disappointed. Sichuan King used to be our favorite "go to" Chinese restaurant. We introduced many people to what used to be an affordable, tasty, fresh, friendly restaurant. Now that its been aborbed by Royal Sichuan its terrible. I was literally sick within an hour of eating the greasy, tasteless meal that took forever to get to our table. They left us hanging for nearly 10 minutes before taking our order, and it took another 25 minutes to get our food, even though it was not that busy. They never brought our scallion pancakes. The Kung Pao Chicken, did not come with rice, you have to order a small bowl as a side. The chicken was mostly fat and gristle with barely any sauce. The vegetable lo mein was inedible, with cheap vegetables, greasy noodles, literally dripping with oil, and no flavor. We asked for water with no ice, got water with ice, and they never fixed it. We are usually very mellow, accepting restaurant-goers, but this was really bad. There are lots of good restaurants in this area, I'd recommend eating anywhere else.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in DFW. Szechuan stir fry pork is addictive, eat it in restaurant rather than carry out. Soups and rice dishes are all flavored well and you can find the rare plates like cumin beef and cumin lamb.

Ridiculous service. They should be called “Royal Shxt-One”. I ordered online and when I arrive they just say that no we don’t have your order. And then skipped me go ask the customer lining behind me. Don’t bother lining up there they don’t serve by the lining sequence. Just pick a waiter and ask about your order. And they were trying to give me an order that’s not even mine.....Terrible system or probably doesn’t even have a system. Don’t recommend order online or by phone the chance you get it on time is by luck.

I've been a customer here for several years. Yesterday we stopped by and got our usual dishes. Orange beef, mushrooms,and eggplant. Unfortunately, they definitely changed chefs and the dishes were not the same. Beef was over coated with flour. Mushrooms and eggplant dishes were okay. They now charge for rice per person even though we ordered entree dishes. How the hell are you supposed to eat your entree dish without rice?!? So basically we were forced to pay for rice. I understand charging for extra rice but your first bowl of rice should always come be free. Doesn't make sense. Anyways, will not be going back.
Been coming here for years, food is always consistent and good. Their service is hit and miss, and they annoyingly started charging guests for rice, no matter how many dishes you order. Don't know of many places that do that.
