I only rated this place a 3 star because the food was bland. The service was good and the atmosphere was okay. There wasn’t many people when we went. I ordered the fish & chips. Unfortunately, it reminded me of fish sticks. The fries were good after I dipped them in ranch and added more Cajun seasoning. My daughter had chicken strips and the chicken was moist, but absolutely no seasoning. My husband ordered the catfish and he like the crunch, but it was also missing seasoning. The house salad was disappointing. It would’ve been nice to have tomatoes and cheese.

Food is great. That's it. Music cuts in and out. 2 of the 4 TVs we're not working. Sat afternoon and no college football? Not a sports bar. The bartender didn't know how to fix anything. High turnover rate on bartenders here. It all boils down to POOR management. Won't come back for awhile. Sorry for the fair review.

Sigh...What a tragedy! Huuuuge disappointment! We have not had Shuck N' Jive since the 1990s. Unfortunately, we should have kept it that way! My husband said he now knows why he used to drive past this place to go to Top Cat! The food was HORRIBLE! All 3 of us got Shrimp & Catfish Combos. The catfish had a very, very strange taste. The shrimp and fries were the only good things. The beans and rice were watery and lacked flavor. The "Real Lemonade" was water - had no lemon flavor whatsoever. In case you're wondering, we got them without ice on purpose.Needless to say...We will NOT be back!

Always frigidly cold. Asked for grilled salmon. Got it blackened and John John the cook refused to acknowledge or fix it. Not great service from the kitchen but the bartenders are great. Just wouldn't recommend eating here.

Use to be one of my favorite gumbos but now not so much anymore - must have changed the recipe. Seemed like salt was the main spice.

They are understaffed but we still didn't have to wait. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious. We called it in from work and it was ready exactly when she said it would be. I recommend the shrimp hushpuppies and the crab stuffed shrimp. The dessert menu was small so we passed on that.

But will charge dinner full price for a lunch order because it was placed at 11:59 AM and expect full payment, no warning, no discussion, and no clearly posted hours for their lunch menu.Avoid!! Crooked thieving scam artists with no sense of keeping customers coming back. If it wasn't for a liquor license they would be bankrupt, and deservedly so.

Real bad service, got there sat at in the bar area, waitress passed by me twice and never acknowledge me. She helped a couple after I came in. I had to get her attention to serve me. She brought me a menu but never came back and didn't even asked if I wanted something to drink. 13 minutes later saw her sitting in the bar area on the opposite side doing nothing at all...got up and left this place!

Arrive about 8.45 at 9.10 we still have not been acknowledged and several workers eyes caught us in passing. We had other customers there that was wondering why we had not been waited on. By the way im black and felt very disrespected, never have we been treated with such neglect.
