During our 4 day barbecue safari around Austin, we also were looking for great apple fritters. After a number of misses, we found great fritters and donuts at the Donut Palace. All of the donuts we tried were delicious, and the fritters were crispy, with lots of apple chunks, like they should be. The gentleman at the counter who owned the store was friendly and helpful.
Donuts are quite delicious, never greasy or oily. Always fresh even late in the day they still taste good. The bathrooms are always clean, as well as eating area tables and chairs. Floor is clean too. Reasonable prices on all their donuts. I have not tasted their kolaches or their breakfast tacos, which they offer, I can only comment on the donuts. They close at 1p.m. daily. Open 7 days a week.

Awesome country donut dive for quick roadside stop, fresh gooey donuts and hot dark coffee. Appears to be a family-oriented operation. Support your locally owned businesses and the communities you pass through. ✌????
