Excellent, a 6 out of 5 rating! After a tiresome fast-food experience throughout South Louisiana and Texas, this proved to be the light at the end of the tunnel, from a culinary point of view. Will definitely visit this chain again while road-tripping in US.

Taste so good but the food takes forever

Went there because Google said it's vegan friendly but we were disappointed. Several staff didn't know what vegan is and the hummus wrap, which can be made vegan, was bland and flavorless. My daughter didn't enjoy her chicken wrap either.

We were / are not impressed. We have been here forever. Ordered two smoothies and a salad! The smoothies are prepared and given to you right away, then you wait! And wait! And wait! While we have been sitting here, we have watched multiple unsatisfied customers come and go. They are out of bacon, they just told a man. What? Ok. So the guy said he just wanted his money back. They had to call someone to see how to return the man’s money. We honestly believe the man left without his order or his money because he (understandably) became frustrated.We were told they were out of ginger for our smoothie. We chose another add in. The smoothies are mostly ice. Not impressed at all. We will never go to another Tropical Smoothie again. We are from San Antonio and I had a similar experience at our Tropical Smoothie. Unbelievable. The man that came in after us just got his salad. I’m still waiting. They just said they have no forks! Well, that’s a small thing, but it is the last straw. Salad is still not ready! We have now asked for our money back. The boy making the salad hasn’t changed his gloves and has touched EVERYTHING! Like the red bucket and box in the picture. Yuk! No thank you!

Me and my husband have been going to this Tropical Smoothie since moving here in March. Up until today (9-19-2023) we haven’t had any bad experiences with the food or the smoothies. Today we ordered two smoothies and two or their quesadillas. My smoothie wasn’t prepared properly and when you take a sip it would taste bland and then the next sip you get a chunk of fruit and ice. My husband’s quesadilla wasn’t made correctly either. All they did was toss some chicken and cheese with a few tomatoes and onions on it when there was supposed to add more ingredients.

Literally wait over 40 mins for a chicken pesto and one drink. Talk about HELLA SLOW. Jesus Christ it insane. My food because they had no idea what I was talking about which is hilarious because it was just literally one drink and a sandwich but you know customer doesn’t matter clearly so thanks.If you look at their window at what they clearly prioritize online orders compared to inside because I got passed up by three or four orders, and he just literally didn’t ask or anything. I’m sorry I understand it gets busy but I was more then patient then they didn’t even apologize just “oh well” oh well I guess I’ll spend my money else where

I always enjoyed Tropical Café but lately they are gradually making a few changes that make them seem a bit careless. Recently I ordered a Capris Sandwich with a side of Corn with Jalapenos. The Sandwich was a bit cold and the Corn with Jalapenos was hot, wrap in saran wrap. The wrap was sticky, caved in and it surely did not look very hygienic. I brought it to their attention and was told, this is how the owner wants it. A similar situation happen when I order a smoothie, I asked for a ¼ tsp of sugar in it and they wanted to charge for the sugar which historically they never charged. I guess when someone gets very sick they will be more careful with hygiene and presentation.
