We couldn't decide on one thing to order or agree on a dish to share... so I ordered 2 meals for each of us with appetizers. It was all AMAZING!! The flavors were so fresh. Everything was worth every savoring bite. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. Made my night.
The food was amazing. Truly enjoyed it. Loved the chai tea. Chicken Vindaloo and cream of chicken.

Excellent food. Been here multiple times, never disappoints. Highly recommend anyone wanting authentic North Indian food. They are always quick with kids dishes- very considerate.

Customer service is pretty much non existent, number one basic rule for restaurants/businesses out there is that customer is king.Even a 4 year old would know this, but nah bayleaf is different, their business model is to be rude to the customers and speak to them in hindi regardless of whether you know the language or not. If you come across this place on any instagrammers blogs, remember that those bloggers were paid to visit this restaurant and given the best experience so they could write up a good review. Well, it would be nice if bayleaf treated all their customers the same but clearly they don't translate that. Highly suggest not going to this place, also don't see them being in business if they continue without making any changes towards their attitude to customers.

I wish there was 0 star option. We reached the restaurant at 9:30 pm because the restaurant closes at 10. The restaurant staff was very rude to us. We politely asked him to update the working hours since it was misleading. The staff was so rude and said no he will not. One of the rudest people I have ever met. Don't go to this restaurant if you value self respect.

Horrible customer service. On google, the timings say the restaurant is open until 10 PM. We traveled from downtown Austin hoping to try their food and were greeted by rude waiters who swore at us and told us they were closed, although it was only 9:30 PM. The one male waiter said something really rudely towards us in Hindi. I told him that I wasn’t trying to argue for a table, I literally just asked him why their Google timings were not updated- and he was very rude. Never going to try dining here, waste of my time.
One of the best Indian food restaurants in Austin. It took almost an hour to get our food. If you are patient and willing to wait, I highly recommend trying it out!

Food: 3.5 starsService: 5 starsAtmosphere: 4 starsDecent food. We got the goat curry, goat vindaloo, bread basket (3 types of naan), samosas, and saag paneer. Wasn’t the best Indian food I’ve had, but pretty decent. I felt that I was needing a bit more flavor. It’s a popular restaurant, it seems, so they’re gonna be busy. The staff works hard and they are very kind. Busy staff does not equate to rude staff, so don’t believe those other reviews! We were greeted with kindness and time-efficient teamwork. Shoutout to the two gentlemen and lady who helped the whole restaurant on a Saturday night, and kudos to the culinary team for getting food out at a good pace.

Had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant today. Waited for an hour, during which they cleaned two tables and seated two groups ahead of us, who arrived later than us. They were walking appointments as well. Finally got seated after 50 minutes, but then waited another 20 minutes without being attended to. When I asked for assistance, the staff rudely yelled at us to wait across the restaurant. No food is worth that level of disrespect. Avoid this place if you value your time and expect good service.

Bayleaf Indian restaurant is probably the least fun I have had visiting an Indian restaurant in the US. The staff were extremely rude and took forever to seat us. Weirdly enough we felt like they were much nicer to Texan Americans, (white people) than to us, Indians in an Indian restaurant. The staff kept talking to us in Hindi, even though we didn't speak the language and made what felt like passive aggressive comments about the women in group. The food was probably nice we just couldn't enjoy it,Bayleaf, an Indian restaurant where Indians face racism
