Came in so hungry, had to wait 10 minutes to receive water after being seated, food was mid and service was terrible, apart from being seated next to 2 guys that were asking tmi to the server. To end it all it’s ABSOLUTELY disgusting never come here. You’re better off going to WH or iHop for better food and service.

Went today 4/21/24 with a friend. I ordered the special Tbone and eggs . It was delicios. Excellent. The waitress made me feel like a cow. Her comments constantly you going to eat that? Really all of it? And i am not heavy lady. But she kept making derogratory comments at me. I so much regret leaving her a tip. I will not be returning to cafe java. She needs to be taught to curtail her tongue.

Tip: there are two baristas that have a kinda silent battle on who has the better hot chocolate. Both are god-like, so I recommend asking about that. Also, get a medium if you do want hot chocolate, the way they serve it is awesome.Other than that, the food is very homey and the atmosphere is like a really good family meetup without the anxiety.

I've only ever had breakfast, but it's a great little hole in the wall place. Decent wait time, great service, very good food, and reasonably priced. I enjoy the java breakfast and the meat sampler breakfast. Atmosphere is close and cozy, so it does get loud there with all the people, at least on weekends.

Been placing phone order pickups here for nearly 10 years but food quality and sevice has not been up to par the past few orders. Today the guy who took order said they have a new system and seemed to have trouble putting my sourdough tuna sandwich with potato salad order in system. Picked up 5 minutes later but once home discovered they gave us a turkey sandwich instead. Also, the potatoes in the potato salad are usually undercooked and hard and really bland but they don't offer many other sides except chips or beans. When I called to say they got our order wrong the woman on phone said that's what we asked for! I told her nope, the guy that took my order repeated it back to me twice - it is the only sandwich I order there anyways so there's no way this was our error. She wasn't very helpful, apologetic and seemed even irritated about having to speak with me especially when I tried to let them know about the potatoes being way undercooked, she even said that's because they severe the potato salad cold! Seriously, I have eaten cold potato salad for decades and theirs is the only one with hard, bland potatoes. After, a pause she said we'll fix your order next time you come in and rushed to get me off the line without further explanation, or apology, or tell me how I was supposed to have my order fixed. Not at all pleased with this reaction from them since we're long time to-go customers. I think we'll find a different place that knows how to treat customers better.

Love this place! I usually call in some breakfast tacos on the way to work since this place stays hopping. My order is usually done in 5-10 minutes even though they say 15. They always get my order right, the staff is super helpful and friendly, the tacos and salsa are delicious and are reasonably priced. Believe i get 3 good sized breakfast tacos for about $6! Tip these guys and gals, they are awesome.

The reason for the the 4 star on food is because they don’t have hand made flour tortillas lol I try to find good tasting tortillas. Other than that, the food is pretty good. I’ve been in RR for almost 5 years and had always wanted to try this place, I don’t know why I waited so long. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff amazing. They’re all so friendly and look happy to be working there. I enjoyed it and will be back. ??
