This was a very nice looking restaurant. The place was big and very clean. The sauces were very very good. From there it was very downhill. The server took quite a bit of time to bring refills and had to be flagged down on a few occasions to refill drinks. I had ordered carne asada burrito, but was brought carnitas. i didnt complain as that was going yo be my 2nd choice, but then as i got into the meat it was dry and very bland, see photo to see the dryness. it was like it had been sitting for quite sometime under a heat lamp. the rice tasted like it came from a bag and was not authentic. the beans were surprisingly good.my wife order some shrimp stacked enchiladas. the shrimp was super chewy and bland, again the sauce on the enchiladas was good.this place was just a rollercoaster between being bland and being flavorful. for the price and being at Kalahari I just expected so much better. but for a Saturday night it seemed empty and they want you to have a reservation, maybe a trick to make it seem better? again had so much hopes for the place as the location looked amazing.

Waitress was a smart aaleck kind of rude, and even when she placed our orders correctly, she continued to undermine the request to leave items at the table. She disregarded my sister, who was mind you the one paying. The food tasted fine, but I didn't actually get to enjoy it because the chefs didn't read the notes the waitress left on the items request such as no cilantro and no onions, which my brother in law is allergic to. My niece also requested a drink, and it never arrived at the table. The place was moderately busy with half the tables in the place empty. This experience, as a whole, was extremely upsetting as this is the place my niece chose to come to for her coming of age birthday.

I AM IN DISBELIEF OF THIS PLACE. FROM THE START TO THE FINISH MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY DINNER RUINED AT A TOTAL SUCCESS. ZERO KID.FRIENDLY ...unless your kids love onion in and on everything. They couldn't sing happy birthday per the manager they never brought out my daughters drink nor churros. All my order was wrong. Just a complete disaster. Would not recommend. Paying top dollar for a place that I could compare with a local fast food place that could beat there customer service at a 200%!!! So upsetting.

Food was good... however the issue I ran into was that I was not told upfront that there would be a 12% takeout charge that actually shows on my receipt as "Gratuity". This makes a big difference because if I would've known I would've just dined in. And, although the young ladies who were working the hostess station were nice they not only did not know much about menu but did not care much to find out or ask someone. My brother had to go in the restaurant and ask a question they didn't have an answer for.

The service was satisfactory, and the convenience of its location within the resort added to its appeal. The premium pricing was anticipated given its resort setting, and I was initially willing to accept this. However, the quality of the food was profoundly disappointing, a stark contrast to the acceptable beverages offered. In the future, I might consider revisiting solely for a margarita and some chips. Regrettably, the culinary experience was deeply unsatisfactory. The chicken tortilla soup, served cold, was a significant letdown. Despite assurances of a fresh serving, it was evident that the dish was merely reheated, resulting in a concoction that was overly salty and reminiscent of canned tomatoes, further compromised by the buried remnants of the initial serving. Equally disheartening was my son's choice of a simple bean and cheese burrito from the children's menu, which failed to meet even modest expectations, paling in comparison to fast-food alternatives--a confounding revelation. It may be advisable for the establishment to concentrate on its strengths, such as beverages and light snacks, given the universally disappointing dining experiences among our party, underscored by the disproportionate cost of our meals. While the corn dip appetizer showed potential, requiring only a slight adjustment in seasoning, it did little to salvage the overall culinary disappointment.

Our waiter was really nice. Host at the front was difficult to understand. Food was good and bad. Fajitas tasted burnt but tortillas was good. Nachos actually came in a can which was pretty cool. My son ordered a taco but got a burrito, but waiter was nice about it and under 10 minutes the taco arrived. Took awhile for waters, but it's good that it's in the resort. Overall 3.5/5

Place looks cute and the chips/queso/salsa were good. That's it...like really, that's it. Food is not good. Everything was cheaply made. Flavors are bland. Service was slow and no one seemed to know where food was supposed to go. We were asked 5 times if other food was ours, even bringing a whole tray of food while we were still eating. They all seemed lost and our meal order was even right. Pick somewhere else to eat!

The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice, and we had a friendly and helpful server. Our visit started out well, where we thought the chips, salsa, queso, and drinks were all very good. Then we got our entrees and we were all super disappointed. It looked and tasted like pre-made/reheated food. The steak quesadillas were particularly bad - barely any filling inside and I'm not even sure if the meat was even steak. The portion was very small for the price, and the enchiladas weren't much better. It was disappointing because the restaurant was great in all other aspects, but the food was just not good.

Our server Drew was awesome. He was the high point of our meal. The food was the low point. My kids scarfed theirs down but they usually do so who knows if their meals were cooked properly. My wife had the carnitas street tacos and they might as well have been street oil in a pan. There was so much oil coming out of the tacos it was pretty gross.I had the stuffed poblano and the inside was cold. It was cooked but obviously it had been premade and then frozen (which I get in a resort that has to pump out meal after meal) but it was not reheated to a temperature that melted the cheese in the stuffing.I would not eat here again, if you were visiting this resort and wanted Mexican or TexMex, you could Uber to so many other places that were really close and sooooo much better.
