I went into the restaurant today for an easy to go order. We enjoy eating there whenever we are in town. All I was picking up today though happened to be 3 jars of pimento cheese. The “best” pimento cheese ever! My husband and I had traveled to the area this week specifically to attend and participate in a beautiful Celebration of Life for one of the kindest people we’ve ever met. One of our bffs. Over the years the four of us have shared jars of pimento cheese, along with crackers; and many other fantastic offerings on the menu. Yummy, and it never fails to please us. Of course when getting an order to go, you go through the bar staff to complete the process. Today I was fortunate to interact with Cara in the bar area. She was fantastic; personable, while being excellent with her customer service skills. Upon finding out the purpose that we were purchasing the pimento cheese for, she immediately offered a complimentary jar. Very kind. We will always remember her empathy and kindness. Of course on our next trip here, there will only be 3 of us, but we will still enjoy our meal while we are in town.Great job Cara.

Definitely recommend their Brunch Menu. It’s hard to find a place that offers breakfast late but they have it till 3pm. The service was wonderful, very attentive and checking on us constantly. The food was amazing, very good in flavors and my favorite part was that it was still hot when it got to the table. Their hot sauces are a definite recommendation. We will definitely be back. Food and drinks are high quality. Service was excellent. We had a large party of 12 and made the reservation about 2 weeks ahead. Most of the party arrived 30 minutes early and we waited in the bar area per the hostess' request. I'm pretty sure our table was ready by the 15 minutes-- til 4 pm mark, but the hostess didn't let us know, until 5 minutes after our reservation, and I had to ask to be seated. With that being said, the Manager that was standing at host stand the entire time started eye balling our family table glancing down at his watch, staring at us... and repeated about every 5 minutes. This started about 1.30 hours into our meal. We had birthday cake and a few presents. I noticed he did the same thing for another large party. It was just okward and weird and we felt too rushed to eat, drink and visit with family. I'm pretty sure our ticket was well over $600. There was a wait at the door but I noticed about 5 empty tables/booths at that time. Maybe next time just let folks enjoy their company without having a passive-aggressive manager peering down their steps of service and timing their stay. 2 hours was not enough time to permit him doing that. Next time we will go somewhere else with the large party.
Very nice casual dining experience. Kenedy is a fantastic waitress. Very attentive and aware of her tables. Food was great. I had the pork medallions stuffed with chorizo. Resterant was full but not loud.They allow reservations too!Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner for my father.

My parents love coming to Jack Allen's Kitchen. The service is pretty fast, and the menu has very decent prices. The place is always super clean, so that makes me feel very good about the kitchen higenge. I would recommend the Country Club Fancy Chicken Salad and the Strak skillet with queso fundido. This is a great place to go with a small to medium group. I definitely recommend checking it out

The staff is excellent! Very friendly and accommodating.The food - WOW. The chicken tinga tacos should have a shrine built in their honor. And follow that up with the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie with Girl Scout cookies in the bottom crust.There are no words that do this dessert justice!
