The crawfish etouffee was really good, but the crawfish was a bit bland. No butter, no seasoning.

This is a casual restaurant located on the Main Street of Round Rock. The menu has many options. However, many are fried. I ordered a cobb salad with grilled chicken. It was presented nicely and fresh. The chicken was tender and flavorful. My server did an excellent job with taking my order and bringing it. Parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a little.

It's a pretty cool looking restaurant on the Main Street of Round Rock. I liked the mirror effect on one side, which makes the place look larger than it is. The interior is full of signs adding to the cool look. There are many options on the menu to choose from, but sticking to my low-carb diet, I ordered the cob salad with grilled chicken. The choices of chicken were also fried and blackened. It was fresh, and the chicken was moist and tender. It was a good salad that I did enjoy. The service is decent and fairly quick. My server came by my table several times to check on me. She was polite and seemed genuinely concerned with the service she provided. The place was clean and had many tables for your dining experience. Parking is limited. So be prepared to walk a little, if needed.

I came in really early for a to go order because it's Friday and the place is hopping! This is literally my 3rd night in a row here as I grew up in Louisiana and enjoy some good Cajun food. I wanted to have a drink while I waited but the bar was full. I certainly did not want to take up prime real estate on such a busy night, but I wanted to see what my options were. I let her know that I was here to pick up an order and she said "go to the bar" before I was finished speaking. Said it again , somewhat sarcastically when I said I wanted to have a drink while I waited (was still not finished speaking). Then I said "but the bar is full". She said "oh I'm sorry" and that was it. No other options offered. Even if this were not possible, she could have been more warm, more friendly, less impatient, less sarcastic. My wait staff the past 2 nights were amazing! This somewhat soured my experience of this place. Food is wonderful! Would love it if they had more bar seating available. And if people were not snappy because it is a busy Friday night. Food = 4.5, tonight's experience = 2.

I would not recommend. I just wish I saw the reviews before going . The chicken has no flavor so I told the server I didnt like it so she grabbed the entire plate and went to the back. I was given a 50% refund which was not fair because I barely touched the food and I cant help that they dont know how to season chicken. It's like your taking a risk , if the food is trash you're forced to still eat it or loose your money. Poor business ethics in my opinion.

Super small portions. I thought I got a child's meal. Not even a full fillet of tilapia very small portion of rice and a tiny bowl of canned green beans. Very disappointing.

My dad first went there on a weekday night. He commented that it looked extra slow for a downtown restaurant but he said he was willing to try it because he had heard some positive reviews from me. I regret telling him those positive reviews because the two experiences he had, and the one I had with him were not pleasant at all. The first time he went there he said that there was too many fried options, that there wasn’t enough of Cajun options. He also said that the waitress he had didn’t seem to be too interested in taking care of him. Said she seemed to always be standing at the bar talking to the bartender and not there to help with refills. He said it was a little pricy and didn’t want to come back a second time. I convinced him to come back a second time with me a month later. I told him maybe you just had a bad waitress. He went and the second time was worse for him and it was just as terrible for me. We went again on a weekday and it was very similar for dinner, not that busy, almost ghost town like. We had the waiter sit us down and I was surprised at the menu. In order to get the Cajun feeling, the etouffee was an additional $7 to the already $20+ dollar tilapia I got. The waiter was also always standing by the bar. I asked a different waiter who she was talking to and they said oh that’s the manger, bartender and the owner. It seems they were more interested in watching espn than checking on the customer. The waiter said that happened all the time. I thought that was odd, maybe the owner, manager and even the general manager don’t care about customer service much. The food was okay, but paying extra for Cajun flavor is crazy, otherwise it’s just grilled or fried fish, and the Cajun was okay, but you can tell this is not true Cajun and that the owner and the chef don’t know what true Cajun and Louisiana food is. The food is overpriced, almost $90 for the two of us, with not the best taste, and the staff and owner don’t seem to notice you or care for you. If you want decent grilled fish just got to Fish Daddies, they are a third of the cost and have better taste and service. If you want true Cajun go to Mouton’s!! They are cheaper and true Cajun food and flavor!!

I have been wanting to come here for a while. Finally got to convince my husband to go. He's the hard one to please with food. We ordered the Cajun Kisses (basically their version of jalapeno poppers). I thought they were good. They were actually spicy, which was what I was hoping for. They were pretty big too. What I really liked was the tortilla strips that were served with them. Yummy! Boudin egg rolls were also good, but since they served them cut side down, all the cheese oozed out. The Home Cooked Combo was really good. The jambalaya was flavorful. Their coleslaw was also delicious and I don't usually like Cole slaw. The red beans and rice were good as well and not dry like Razoo's. Now the gumbo, I was slightly disappointed. I like thick gumbo. Theirs is more like soup. It didn't lack flavor at all. Everything was delicious and we'll be back. As a bonus, they're owned by the folks that own the Texan Cafe in Hutto. No wonder we liked dining there. See you next time!

Great service! Great atmosphere! The food, for us was wanting. The "shrimp creole" for me tasted like tomato soup with cayenne with very little, "broken" rice. The Cajun kisses were inedible because they were so spicy and no refund even offered. We won't likely return. Cajun food needs flavor, not just heat.
