Unfortunately, I recommend The Salt Lick to my family from out of town. They did not have a good experience. They said that it was cold and tasted like it was leftover from a few days ago. The potato salad was “shady” I felt bad that they had a bad experience. Plenty of other Texas BBQ to recommend next time they are in town.

I'm a Texas BBQ guy. Salt Lick is a middle of the pack location for me. Very good service, cool atmosphere, it feels like a bbq joint. I just wasn't all that impressed with the food. It was good but not... OMG this is good.

Our server Jacob was great! We always have a great time here with good service and good food. Sweat tea was great.Ample free parking lot.Always recommend getting extra beans instead of the potato salad (too much vinegar).

I like my brisket on the slightly moist and have a little fat on it for flavor and I asked for it. What I got was good but very lean and on the dry side, little disappointed. The beef ribs was much more moist and have some fat around the ends to give it flavor, it was very tasty. Don’t forget to order the Mac and cheese!!The restaurant was very festive and lively, fun for our families gathering.
