My wife and I really wanted to love this place. The front desk person was great - really kind and friendly…but we had a lot of issues and we only stayed for one night. They are as follows:- the preferred communication method was to text the front desk. We texted them multiple times and they never replied.- The front desk recommended we head over for happy hour and a bite to eat at the restaurant, but it was closed for an event. There was no way to order food or drinks. We planned to stay at the hotel for the entirety of our stay and it was extremely frustrating to know there were no options for even a reduced menu or way to order drinks...or any indication that those amenities would be unavailable during our stay.- The ac kept turning off at night. I noticed late at night and kept having to reset it over and over again.- There was a miscommunication about breakfast being included with a stay. It’s not.I gave this feedback to the hotel manager, and they seemed receptive to my feedback, but I would definitely think twice about booking until they iron a few things out.

Don’t stay here.My wife and I have stayed at the Ruby multiple times and this was by far the worst experience. We have always loved the Ruby. While we live locally, it was a great place to get away to a boutique hotel and have a date night. We came into our room last night having been out on the town and when we arrived, we found the toilet not working. We called the front desk and their basic reply was that it was not their problem and they refused to move us to another room.We had to drive home which is 45 minutes away at midnight. We will not be staying at the Ruby again.

Very eclectic hotel with a great location right on the river and all rooms have a view of it plus a very nice bar that we found to be just right for a fine cocktail or glass of wine and some very well made apps and small bites.

We booked a stay for one night after a wedding. We got in late after the a wedding and wanted an extra sheet and blanket so we went to call the front desk. There are no phones in the rooms to call front desk, so we walked to the front and they closed the front desk on a Saturday at 11pm.We needed a sheet and blanket because I spilled my water all over it. We text the number posted on their front entrance door because the was the instructions but no response…..so I slept on wet sheets and I was really cold, but honestly don’t stay here. You can’t reach anyone if you need anything. It’s like a hostel experience. And they don’t care if you needed anything, you’re on your own once you check inWalkability: Close to downtown

Couldn't recommend this place more. The service, bar, food, and views exceeded expectations.

Quiet, clean, and nice.My partner and I stayed with our two dogs in 'the green room' overlooking the nearby creek. The room itself was spacious and modern in design. The bed was large and comfortable and the lighting was great. The bathroom was also modern in design and had a great shower that got really hot water.Within the room my only complaint was that the radio did not work and that the curtains leading to the small patio did not have a sheer panel to let some light in and obscure the room. Just know at night if you tried to leave the door open, out in the rural area of Round Rock, there will undoubtedly be some bugs that want to room with you too but this was not a huge problem.Though we did not use all the amenities the nearby bar had a good selection of offerings and the outdoor pool looked inviting. The 24 hour gym is a great feature which looked like it would be able to accommodate an ample workout routine. This hotel is within walking distance (about a ten minute walk) from the downtown which has a lot of entertainment options.Lastly the service was standout. The ability to text the front desk offered a more reserved and still personal option to acquire more towels or utensils. All in all this is a nice place and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I just love this place. The rooms are great and the bar is amazing. The bartenders make this place top tier! I think we have met them all at this point and they are ALL fantastic. Tom, Jacie, Sophia, Olivia, and Garrett are what make the bar fun.Food & drinks: Food is awesome and the drinks are killer. Must try the Ruby Old Fashioned!

We stayed at the Ruby for Valentines and it was wonderful. Our room was fully accessible and had a great view of the creek and birds. From booking to checkin to departure everything was very easy and the staff communicated quickly and appropriately. The bar staff were welcoming and made very nice craft cocktails. Our only complaint was the bar closed early so we weren't able to enjoy a nightcap after our meal offsite...bummer. We plan to make this our 'home' when in the Austin area.

I didn't stay at the hotel but went to the bar with my husband. Ambiance was nice but a bit crowded. Took the bartenders a bit to get to us but they were friendly. Drinks were good. The 3 stars really comes from the food. I specifically went to get the antonelli's cheese plate without having to drive to Austin. It is listed as Antonelli's on the menu so I expected high quality and diverse cheeses... it came with 3 hard cheeses, one being cheddar lol ain't no way this was Antonelli's. We checked out pics of the other food and it really didn't look good. We left after one drink to grab some food somewhere else.Food & drinks: I specifically went to get the antonelli's cheese plate without having to drive to Austin.
