Personal Opinion: This Velvet Taco is better than the one in the Domain. We did not have long to wait in line to order and service was actually helpful and quick. The food was great - I ordered the Shepards Pie taco and the Smash burger taco. There is a good amount of space inside and I believe they also have an outside patio area to eat. Also, there is a drive thru for those who really want a quick pick up experience.

Fairly new to Round Rock. Fancy Taco place several friends recomended, so I tried it at 10 pm on Friday night. I had 2 of the Philly Cheesstake. A little on expensive side. $16 for tacos, small drink and tip. I think I will try fish and chips next time, which my friend suggested. A little spicier than I prefer, but I could have left the jalapeños off. I'll be back, but come with a friend who has mastered the menu. Service was good and there were a lot of happy looking patrons. Fridays / Saturdays open till 2 am.

The Round Rock Velvet Taco has the best tacos I have ever had! Savannah makes the environment so welcoming and personable! Taylor always does a great job with everything! And Adolfo is always making sure that everything is just right! Velvet taco is my family's favorite place to eat and drink (especially the margaritas) CHEERS!

Title: A Culinary Adventure at Velvet Taco: Tacos with a Twist and Grand Margaritas Venturing into Velvet Taco in Round Rock proved to be a gastronomic journey like no other. With a diverse menu featuring tantalizing options such as rotisserie chicken, chicken & waffles, Kobe smash burger, and grilled salmon tacos, each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. The rotisserie chicken taco perfectly captured the essence of tender, juicy chicken, while the chicken & waffle taco offered a sweet and savory combination that was simply irresistible. The Kobe smash burger taco was a creative twist on a classic favorite, and the grilled salmon taco showcased the freshness of the seafood with every bite. To complement the flavorful tacos, I indulged in the Grand Kick Ass Margarita, and it did not disappoint. True to its name, this margarita packed a punch with its bold flavors and refreshing kick, making it the perfect accompaniment to my meal. As if the savory delights weren't enough, the dessert offering of Red Velvet cake took the experience to new heights. Not overly sweet, the cake was a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth treat that left me craving more. The ambiance of the outdoor seating area added to the overall experience, especially on a beautiful day. The relaxed atmosphere allowed me to fully enjoy the culinary delights while soaking in the sunshine. Velvet Taco truly exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to return to sample more of their innovative taco creations. With a menu that constantly evolves and features a rotating selection of featured tacos, there's always something new and exciting to try. I wholeheartedly recommend Velvet Taco to anyone seeking a culinary adventure that goes beyond the ordinary. If I could rate it higher than 15 out of 20, I certainly would. And as for the Grand Kick Ass Margarita? It lives up to its name in every sip.

Velvet Taco in Austin offers a tantalizing array of tacos that cater to diverse palates, and I must say, the Paneer Taco stole the show for me! Its rich, savory flavors combined with the perfect texture left me craving for more. While the Nashville Tofu Taco was decent, it didn't quite reach the same level of culinary excellence. The taste across the board was undeniably impressive, showcasing the creativity and skill of the chefs. However, I do agree that the portion size could be more generous, especially considering the price point. Despite this, the overall dining experience at Velvet Taco was delightful, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking a unique taco adventure in Austin!

The tacos were amazing. Much better than the ones I had at the domain. Tons of flavor and juices with each taco. We tried tacos with chicken, beef, and pork for variety and each was delightfully prepared. Easy to order and they call your name over the loud speaker to pick up once ready. They did forget my drink initially, but once I asked they promptly corrected the issue and I was thankful they did as the drink was well balanced and delicious. A great way to spend one of the first warm days in round Rock this year! Glad it's here and in the neighborhood. Will certainly return again!

Velvet Taco is Awesome!! I love the atmosphere, great food, and amazing staff. Omar was very helpful in choosing the best options to enjoy a delicious dinner. Fast and excellent customer service is easy to feel when dining in from the whole staff.I appreciate how quick the meal is ready, so fresh with great flavors and many options on the menu.I really enjoyed the chips and queso, tacos, and the namesake red Velvet cake! I usually just get 2-3 tacos, and this time, it was so enjoyable that I decided to write a review.Thank you to the Round Rock Velvet Taco team for making this my favorite taco spot to enjoy a great meal, and I highly recommend it to locals and visitors.

Food and staff are great. Parking and seating was poorly executed. Patio is unnecessary. Majority of the year it is uncomfortable to eat outside.

I wondeed why they are called velvet taco and then I googled. The food goes with the name. It is really cool what they serve. It is different from torchys and luna taco.We ate spicy Tikka chicken, fried paneer and beer battered cauliflower. The chicken and cauliflower were amazing. The level of spice in chicken was perfect. The paneer is little difficult to eat without making a mess. The place in round rock is small, though the high tables give it is a unique look.Highly recommend the place.
