So I was passing through Round Top on the way to a Celibration of Life and decided to eat lunch. Was directed to the bar area, nice room and ordered a avocado toast and a coffee. Toast (a piece of white bread) and poached egg was OK, but my coffee was luke warm. The server never returned to my table after my meal was dropped off. So I finished my meal. The waiter noticed so he asked for my payment, no bill yet. Gave him my card anyway, returned with the bill, I signed it, left a 20% tip and got up to leave. No, "How was your meal." Walked by the guy in the front of house and he looked me and was silent, too. All-in-all a poor experience.

Not a place you’d expect in the middle of nowhere Texas. Such a fun, unique look and vibe. Great good, great service, delicious drinks.

The food was wonderful! We ate there twice in the five days that we were in Round Top. Service was very good and all of our party seemed to enjoy their meals. Can’t comment on the dessert because we were too full to eat anything else.

We decided to try Lulu’s yesterday after a wonderful afternoon celebrating the love of my son and his life partner. First off I knew it was a mistake when the hostess was bothered that we had no reservation ( and at 1ish on a Saturday afternoon there were many empty tables). We were begrudgingly seated in the bar area. The first server was a nice young man and we thought the air had turned. We received cocktails and water. We were able to order bread and once we were done with the bread we were finally able to order entrees. The man that delivered our plates was quick, brought utensils and then never had anyone return. No salt/pepper, no additional drinks and no refill on water. We finally had to ask for the check and then even had to walk to the bar to have it closed out. Let me add here, the food was mediocre at best. We did tip (only the minimum 15%) We were very let down with Lulu’s

Rude host at the front. Nobody waiting and he says he can’t get me in until 4:00 (it’s 1:15) and he’s only doing reservations.Walk outside and book a reservation for 1:30. Go back in and he asks what else I need. I said I have a reservation. He looks it up and says sorry other people are waiting for a table so it’ll be a while the proceeds to turn and talk to someone else. Treated her like royalty, he even walked next door to get her a business card for the hotel.

We really wanted to love this place unfortunately it may have been the worst restaurant food I’ve ever had. We started off with the boquerones which were extremely salty and that’s saying a lot bc I love salt. They were served with some strange sauce and tomatoes but not much else. Hardly edible. We then ordered the chicken Marsala and the bolognese geez how can you mess those up?! Well the sauce on the Marsala was thick and sweet with runny almost like water mashed potatoes. The dish lacked so much flavor I had to add salt, pepper, more salt it was absurd! My fiancée’s bolognese was beyond terrible. Very little if any sauce on the pasta, zero like zero flavor.. again we threw in every condiment we could find. It was a sad meal and yes we should’ve said something but we were starving and ate and ran! Next roundtop we’re we’re def not going there.

So incredibly disappointed!! Had a reservation and it did not matter. Still had to wait another 30 mins past our reservation time. What's worse is the man at the host station was rude and clearly played favorites to his friends coming in. As we waited 3 groups came in without reservations and were seated before us. One of the large groups without a reservation, the host new and greeted 2 of them by name and told them he would take care of them. Us and another party who had also been waiting since well past our reservation time questioned him and he was rude and aloof. Stated he could not seat our parties at those tables, despite telling the other guy to "pull 3 tables together " to accommodate his buddies group. Finally seated and it was so loud in the restaurant you can barley have a conversation at your table. Our server was clearly inexperienced. Made no recommendations and simply acted as an order taker. We asked what the soup was and we were told it was minestrone. When it came out it was clearly some sort of tomato bisque. The server did not even notice. When asked she replied oh well the kitchen must have switched to that. Seriously?? That's your reply! We ordered entrees after clarifying the dish had tomatoes and olives, server confirmed. It came out with no tomatoes and instead read sauce. When asked the server said "there's tomatoes in the sauce" again, wow. This place is not cheap and for that I'd expect good service and informed servers, sadly not the case! Parking is a nightmare and there is nowhere to stand while you wait.

Great place. Beautiful interior. Exceptional bar. Delicious dishes . I tried the spaghetti and meatballs, and I recommend it. Parking can be an issue if you dine during the antique shows. So enjoy the antiques and walk over to enjoy this amazing place. The staff is top-notch. Your date would like a Lady Cello for an absolute fantastic drink. Try it with Belvedere.. you will regret not trying this place..

As the only real fine dining style restaurant in Round Top this place sort of had a lot to live up to. And I feel bad writing this review because the staff really was trying their best. Our server and the host were both great and the vibes of this place are really niceBut the food was, honestly, horrible. My wife and I tried 8 things off the menu including cocktails and honestly would not recommend a single one of them. Every single dish was a major let-down, and the cocktails were basically undrinkable. We tried our best and literally couldn't finish a single thing we served. The cocktails were the worst; I cannot stress enough that you simply should not order one. We barely took two sips of ours before giving up. The lobster ravioli was the lowest point; it's overpriced, with a strange-tasing sauce that does not fit this type of dish, thick and chewy pasta, and two tiny bits of lobster meat for the price of $60 (!).It has been awhile since we have had such a poor experience and been so let down by a restaurant that came so highly recommended.Again: the staff is great, and the vibes are awesome. But I can't recommend this place based on the food that we had

Nice quaint lil place. The food was great, except we had a group of 16 and some peoples food came out cold. Mine did not. They have the best fresh bread. Very nice people. Little pricey for a lunch meal. I would definitely go again.

We had the reservation and the waiter took our order, saying “ it might take a bit longer than usual” , we waited for 1 hour 20 minutes only for him to come back and say that half of our order from the menu was not even available, and then the Pear and rucola salad came without a pear ..I understand they were overcrowded but with the service like this I assume it will not be a problem soon…

We were dining at Lulus tonight.I ordered risotto with variety of mushrooms ,pieces of lobster and truffle oil. It was an expensive entree. The dish was completely misrepresented. The risotto was runny not too tasty . It had baby portobellomushrooms only and a few small pieces of lobster claws. Waitress was very sweet but she did not check on the meal after food was delivered. When she came with the check I let her know that I will write a review.
