When my family and I lived near the Mesquite area, we used to frequent the Burger Island quite often. But since moving out here we haven’t been in a long time. Well my family and I decided to visit today. I had a strong craving for my Burger Island favorite, the Hawaiian Burger. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the very friendly and accommodating owners. I was waiting on my wife and kids to arrive and he was very nice telling me take a look at the menu while I wait. I was glad to see my favorite burger on the menu, so naturally I ordered it. When it came to the table it wasn’t the same as I remembered. So the taste wasn’t the same. It wasn’t bad, it was just different. The first being ringed pineapple instead of flattop grilled pineapple niblets. Like I said it was t bad, just different. Would definitely love to come back. Would I eat the Hawaiian again? Probably not. But they had so many wonderful choices, I’m sure there is something else I can add to my list of favorites. I recommend you stopping by checking them out.

Its been a year since I tried them in Sachse and tonight was no different. The burger w/bacon ( if you call that bacon?) had no taste or season until I received a bad after taste. The tots were plain/somewhat greasy with no salt and pepper. Maybe I will give them another shot another year!

The quality of the food has steadily declined since they changed ownership. I almost quit them when they stopped offering real bacon. Tonight was my last trip. Spent $40 and everything was overcooked. A1 burger had very little A1. Fries were a soggy mess. Tried the turkey bacon - it was inedible (as I feared). I won't be going back.

This burger island is okay, food is good most of the time only thing is they don’t have real bacon they only carry turkey bacon which I rather prefer the real bacon. Another reason I’m putting 3 starts is because the owner is not nice at all he always looks mad and angry his wife is the sweetest tho, he is even pretty rude to his employees at times he even yells at to them hurry and stop talking to each other. Rather than that it’s okay Ig .

Bad horrible service at this location. They serve turkey ham and turkey bacon bc they are Halal/kosher food restricted. Use the Rowlett Tx location instead.

This was delivered so no review on the shop.Food:Burgers : burgers tasted not raw but as if the meat had gone bad, my wife and I took 3 bites from it and threw the burger.Breaded shrimp: this were good so one star for the side dish.Tater tots: tater tots were good not oily so one starSalt and pepper wings: they tasted like biting into cardboard, it had mostly pepper so you could not get a hint of salt.Recommendation:We usually buy from the burger island in Buckingham I will continue to just go with them and avoid this one and stick to Buckingham's.

Disappointed. Waited a WK to write this review only because I was mad that my food was not good and didn't want to rant. I will not return. Chicken sandwich was I have no clue what they did to it? Dry and I asked for mushrooms but didn't taste them? Two burgers were dry and we had the worst ever onion rings. I should know better and chk before taking it home. Seriously, If I was the owner I would not have eaten that food. So sorry,my reviews are never meant to hurt. Just don't want anyone else to pay for bad food.
Just terrible. Cold jalapeño poppers? How does that even happen? Bacon is not real. Burnt greasy burger on a stale bun. Will not return.

The burgers were a solid 4/5. The fries are a 3 because they a really soggy. If the fries were to be a bit more crispy and a bit more salty. They would be some really good fries.

I've been coming here for years and I always get the Double Jungle Burger all the way. I've never been dissapointed. They also have very good tots. The taste is similar to Five Guys i'd say. This is my favorite burger in the U.S.

Ordered chili burger and fries with cheese from here through Uber eats and my food was terrible. I have never gotten food from this location I usually get it from the Rowlett location but most likely I would never try this place again. I ordered fries with cheeses and my fries had shredded cheese that was not melted. My chili burger tasted like the meat or something was sour and it didn't even have much chili on it. I will not make this mistake twice.
