my boyfriend and i’s first time here and i will say i wish we would’ve just gone to shoguns across the street instead. they give you barely anything for $80. i get it’s a filet minion but 5 pieces of steak? that’s a little ridiculous if you ask me. i could’ve gone to shoguns and got triple the amount of food for cheaper. don’t come here and expect much. also we ordered edamame and it never came out and we got told “they must’ve lost the ticket”. for $80 for 2 people to eat a literal total of 10 pieces of steak together they can’t even make sure you get your appetizer.

I found a piece of plastic in my food. It wasn’t like it was a small piece either, it was huge. My friend said this happened her as well, at the exact same place. They gave me a free roll, but they still charged me for my plastic roll. Definitely scared to go back.
I had the sushi and California roll obento, and they were good. My wife had the pork katsu obento, but sadly, the pork cutlet was overcooked and dry, without much flavor. I have found that Japanese style restaurants in America do not know how to cook katsudon properly.

Worst tempura we've ever had! My husbands vegetables were dripping in oil and were disgusting and soggy. Pork dumplings had a funky after taste. Will NOT be ordering food here again!! Yikes!
Unfortunately, I always forget about this establishment, but when I remember it's here, I immediately go to eat there. Fantastic food and the saki is tremendous. The service has always been impeccable and it is always spotless. I wish the ambiance was a bit better but I can understand due to space limitations there's not much more they can do. I once was seated with my family at a table that was directly in front of the entrance which was a poor place to be seated, especially with it being in the winter. Now I will wait for a table further away if that's the only one available. The food is worth the wait.

My wife had the hibachi New York steak and I had the lunch, choose two rolls, Yellowfin Jalapenoand spicy salmon. We shered a bottle of chilled sake. We will definitely return and we highly recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite date night place. Staff super friendly and welcoming. We get first class service every time. The sushi is very close to authentic. The prices are reasonable for San Angelo. The atmosphere is great and the place is clean. Can't wait to go again. Just as soon as I get out of the dog house...? ??Parking: Usually there is a spot open. Just one. It gets crowded at night on account of the movie theater and Marble Slab Creamery.
