The egg rolls tasted like they had sat for hours. The lo mein was barely above room temp and the tea tasted old. All the food has lost its flavor and just tastes blandOtherwise, the waitress was nice, even though I had to literally walk to her to get her attention after about 5 mins.IMO not worth driving all the way out there

Our food was amazing, and the portions were enough for leftovers. And believe me your going to want to eat every bite.the service is southern hospitality with a pep in there step.Trust and believe, it's worth it!

The worst Chinese food I have ever had, which is already a low bar.I ordered Lo Mein Beef, which when it came to my table was obviously made with linguine noodles instead of lo mein. It was absolutely soaked in vegetable oil and had very little beef. The service was good however, but oh goodness was the food bad.

The best egg rolls in town. Good selection of Asian cuisine on menu. Portion sizes were just right. Food is made to order. They are running specials everyday. See in picture.Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu

I had the pleasure of dining at Mathis Field Cafe in San Angelo, and I must say, it's a hidden gem for lovers of Chinese cuisine. The locally owned establishment boasts a menu full of delicious options, but their famous egg rolls truly steal the show. The crispy exterior perfectly complements the flavorful filling, creating a delightful blend of textures and tastes. The café's dedication to authenticity is evident in every dish, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine Chinese food experience in the heart of Texas.

Had a really nice lunch with a friend today. Our service was really top notch. Good recommendations which was needed as the menu is HUGE! i especially loved the fresh brewed tea. Food was very good and I had enough to bring home for dinner. Our eggrolls were over the top good! The owner was very gracious and we will definitely be back...especially for the weekend specials!

This restaurant has changed owners unfortunately. Excellent food and prices that are in line with everybody’s prices. They’ve gone up. The food is still fabulous. My favorites are Kung Bao Chicken and Vegetable Lo Main!!

This place used to be the go to spot in town, after it changed ownership however you can expect over priced dishes, the blandest food, and the worst service. We sat for over 20 minutes to get a drink order, someone took it but disappeared, when we finally got a server they took 10 minutes just to grab 2 teas and 2 Cokes (we were the only table in there on a Friday night if that says anything) food was cold in spots and flavorless! 0 out of 10, if I could have left 0 stars I would have. This restaurant was my favorite place as a kid now i don't think I'll be going back. Way to ruin a good thing guys

We liked the food but pictured is a half order compared to a “full.” 4 extra dollars for one more piece of chicken. We also asked for plum sauce which we didn’t receive and had to come back and ask for. Got charged a dollar for a “to-go” fee just to get way less food than if we dined in.

This was a little surprise find. Located right inside the airport is this little Chinese place that overlooks the tarmac. It was surprisingly good! I didn't expect a whole lot but definitely got more than expected. Service was super slow though for the very few tables in the place at lunch time

This was one of my favorite places to go back in the day. I was soooo looking forward to eating here when I moved back. Ordered what I always have, General Tso’s chicken, and several egg rolls. The price use to be under 20$ it is now 35$. That was disappointing but when I got home and tasted the food, WOW, really disappointing. No way this restaurant will last much longer serving the food that I got. Could not believe how bad it was. Mathis field cafe is not the same. Don’t eat here. ?? if I could give less than 1 ⭐️ I would.

Food was very good but the spicy chicken noodle soup was phenomenal! Tasted like something my mom would make. Boyfriend travels frequently so we'll be popping in again.

Service was only there when we stared her down or waved her over. Only us 3 and a table of 2. So it's not as if it was busy. Not sure what happened to the prices and portions but wow. We will be going to our other restaurant. We can eat there and have adult drinks with our meal for the same price. Just as good as always on the food. No complaints on that front.
