I moved to Christoval, Tx from Plano, Tx. I lost access to a diversified selection of Plano resturants. However, in San Angelo, I believe that Miss Hatties provides a unique resturant experience. It's been one of my favorites, for a drink, lunch or dinner. Recently, my daughter graduated from ASU with a BS in nursing. Her grandparents and uncle and aunt selected Miss Hatties as the place for celebrating her graduation. It was a large group, but Miss Hatties was able to accomadate us. The waitress did an outstanding job of serving us, and paying attention to our needs.Miss Hatties provides a quite atmosphere for conducting dinner conversations without having to shout and the decor provides a historical look of past history. The bar room has a diversified selection of wine and liquor for the discriminating palatte. The 21 day aged steak cooked over mesquite wood is one of my favorites of the dinner menu.Let's not forget the live entertainment, saxophone player, that is provided on the weekends. He's a favorite of mine.Miss Hatties provides good food and drinks, fast seating, with courteous and friendly service and that's why I keep going back.Sol M Del-Gado

The food was good was a little lacking. The Gouda soup was pretty good. The meatloaf was lacking flavor. Needed salt and seasoning. The mashed potatoes were the same. Just bland.Carmel pecan cheesecake was covered in syrup which I found odd. But it was decent.Service was pretty good. No complaints there.

Cool history and service was super friendly. A little slow at times but food and service were worth it. Prices were very fair. This was my wife and daughters favorite place while we're were living in San Angelo.

My husband and I loved this place. The historic building is beautiful and wonderfully decorated. The service was great and the food was excellent! The saxophone player was an added bonus. We will be back!

Meh at best. My wife and I went here for a birthday party of a co-worker. I looked at the menu before going to the restaurant and was looking forward to catfish or one of their burgers. I guess when it's a larger party you get a limited menu. I overheard someone in the party ask about a burger and they were told they could not get anything not on the menu because the restaurant was too busy (there were maybe 30-40 people max in the entire building). As we were walking out when it was much busier I noticed 4-5 people at other tables with burgers. This is when I came to the conclusion you can only have certain items when in a party (they also had the full menu available). Another couple brought their young child and had to almost beg for their kid to get a side of fries because they didn't want crab cakes or stuffed trout... Another issue was the service in general. They had one server for our party of 20. This would have been fine but she was rarely around. It took 10 minutes to get my first refill. When my food came we were never checked on so I was unable to request anything. I'm not sure if it was because the tip was built in (stated 18% on the menu but was actually 20% on the bill) or just rough service. Lastly the food. It was okay at best. The vegetables were great. The crab cakes looked amazing and I regret not ordering them. I got a chicken fried steak but it was about the same as a Texas Roadhouse. The salad before the meal was maybe 1/4 cup of lettuce and doused in dressing. Overall would I never come back? No. Would I personally choose this place to go eat? No. Would I go if someone invited me? Probably.
Me and my significant other went and even though Rebecca was very busy and getting yelled at she did a great job and would recommend her and my chicken fry was great!

We just left this restaurant after an hour and a half wait for our food. We arrived at 6 pm and at 7:30 pm, we received our food. We even came on from out of town specifically to come to Miss Hatties. Needless to say, we will not frequent this restaurant for a while.

The female waitress was rude and condescending. Her comments were not warranted and nor did I respond ignorantly to her behavior. She went as far as telling they didn’t have a menu item, but the male waiter standing at the front, spoke up and said yes we do. Not sure if the food was good or not, as her behavior overshadowed the entire meal.

I bet I’ve been to this place more than 40 times in the last 15 years. It has been consistently very good. The steaks are a great value and the service is always excellent.
