"FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING" - Well, today was a "FIRST" for my Wife and I. We have had this 'Vette-Jet' for just over 5-years and have 'never-ate-anything-in-it - nothing - nada' until today. Sonic-Drive-In is having a Special Today Only on their "Chili-Cheese-Coney" - only $1.29 each. We Love Chili-Cheese-Coneys and also Specials. So, we planned to have Lunch at Sonic here in San Angelo. They actually have 3-locations but the main one is on Knickerbocker and that's where we went in the "Vette-Jet" Topless (the car, not us). Arrived just before the Noon Rush and found a space the first time around. Lots of cars here now and most likely All-Day. Had to get out of the Vette to order because it's kind of low in order to reach that 'Red-Button'. Ordered Four Chili-Cheese-Coneys and a small Diet Coke, my Wife brought a water for her. It didn't take long for Holly, our Car Hop, to deliver our order brought in a bag with a box inside filled with Four Chili-Cheese-Coneys. The last time we were here we also had Holly as our Server for those Corn Dogs they had on Special - and they were some Mighty-Delicious-Corn-Dogs. The Four Chili-Cheese-Coneys are in individual sleeves and after opening them up they look really good. Buns are Steamed and are Very Soft with a really good tasting Coney covered with Chili & Cheese. Each one 'Melts-In-Your-Mouth' liciousness and I get three of these - my Wife is only having one. Don't know how she does it because after I ate my three I wanted six more - they are that good. We don't often to to Sonic but when they have Specials on Corn-Dogs and Chili-Cheese-Coneys ya just gotta go - and we did. My Lovely Wife and I earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for not dropping a single drop of anything in the Vette-Jet. Like this is titled, there is a First Time For Everything - and I think it might be the last - just don't want to take a chance. Sonic Drive-In has this Special ONLY for today, so get yourself out there and enjoy a Mighty-Meaty-Chili-Cheese-Coney, or several Coneys. Today Sonic offered coney dogs for 1.39. I ordered some. I have never seen such a cheap ass method of dog making. It appears they made foot long coneys, cut them into 5 inch coneys. I am thinking i got 5 coneys that were missing one inch each. so who got to eat the missing 5 inches of hot dog. instead of 30 inches of coneys I got 25 inches! They cheat you on their blasts also. I don't order those any more! They prepare the blast but before putting it in the cup, they Fill the bottom 2 inches of the cup with plain vanilla ice cream. You slimy bastards!

I came because I wanted a chili dog, not a hot dog. This looks like they barely tried. Like one tablespoon of chili. As a matter of fact, I think one tablespoon of chili would be more than what's on mine at the moment. Over $9 for this, next time, add more, or twice as much of whatever spoon y'all use to add the chili to the hot dog. Otherwise, the staff is always so pleasant when we come.

Stopped by here after the Angelo State Ram football game to pick up some food. Ordered a Sonic cheeseburger with bacon, no tomatoes, and no bun. Along with a large Big Red, medium sweet tea, and medium Dr Pepper.The food and drinks all came out quickly and the burger was fresh. But gave the 4 stars due to the taste of the sweet tea and Big Red. The sweet tea had more of a water flavor, and the Big Red was more syrup than anything else.
It's a Sonic so food is fine, service is good and fast
