This my first time trying Ethiopian food and it was really good. I only gave 3 stars in this section because I hate to eat with my hands and by the end the bread was very moist from the sauce. **PLEASE** don't let desire to have clean hands keep you from trying this place. Truth is I would eat here again and definitely eat Ethiopian again even tho that means getting my hands dirty...lol. the staff was friendly and attentive and helpful and choosing great option for my first experience.

We've been here twice now and it's wonderful. The portions are huge, great for sharing. They give you plenty of bread to eat with. The dishes are good, flavorful, and varied. The jebena coffee is some of the best coffee I've ever had. A few bucks gets you several espresso cups worth in a warm clay pot. It's got hints of clove and a richness. It's heavenly.

The pricing and food portion is nice. The staff was friendly, but a little slacking in attendance. The food was served at a great temperature and taste fresh. The only thing I'd ask is to offer dinning utensils (for those who aren't familiar with the custom or prefer an option) and offer straws for the drinks. I came in to do a project for my high school, not knowing anything about Eritrean food or culture, but I left with a full stomach, a to-go box of delicious food, and a much better understanding of Eritrean culture. Chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the coffee was sweet and unlike anything I’ve ever had before (in a good way!) The owner is wonderful and attentive. Would 10/10 recommend to everyone!

I like the food. The people were even more interesting. However, the art work on the walls was, for me, the find of a lifetime. It is a mathematical puzzle that exhausted me. I am going back for more food. More genuine smiles I have not seen in this country for many a year. All are welcome. Enoch lives. This I know for sure.
