Service has never been very good but tonight was awful. The grumpy old man server was irritated with us from the beginning. We were served a wedge salad that was just the core of the lettuce covered in dressing. They were out of several items. The manager was dismissive of our remarks. We won’t be returning.

Regulars here every 2-3 weeks. Always great service and very good food. Prices keep creeping up for the same size portions.

Been eating at Aldo's for years and realized I'd never done a write-up. Once again, a wonderful experience. I usually recommend the Osso Buco. This time, our party of five on a Thursday, enjoyed Scampi Colina, Cristina Pizza, a couple Pollo dishes, and Linguine Alle Vongole. Service was excellent as usual. We have never had a bad meal/experience here. They also have a nice selection of wines and desserts which should satisfy a variety of tastes.Dietary restrictions: They do a nice job of addressing dietary issues and make good recommendations for alternate choices.

Food, service and ambiance is fabulous. We went toward the end of lunch time and we quickly understood why people rave about this place. Great staff, terrific food in a pleasant atmosphere.

I have been here twice recently and have thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my experience dining here. The service excellent, was seated immediately. being a solo diner both times I got lucky and they sat me in a cozy little corner looking out and it was very comfortable. Both times the food was excellent... And I am a very particular foodie :-) the veal chop was excellent, cooked perfectly, with roasted potatoes, and very nicely done vegetables. The braised short ribs were tender and flavorful with a nice risotto and asparagus, both time the veggies cooked perfectly, not too much oil or salt overall. Both times the waiters were very nice and personable, the second night he was from Italy and took time to talk to me about my upcoming trip to Florence as he was from that region. Both nights overall wonderful, I really needed relaxing, delicious meals after rough work days traveling to San Antonio. Hope to return again!

It was a perfect dinner after a hard days work. As a single diner, I felt very comfortable in a cozy table in the corner. My server was very personable, I received bread right away, and my meal nice and hot :-) I had the short ribs with risotto, haricot verts. Was cooked and seasoned perfectly… Meat was tender and delicious. I will definitely return!I don’t give five stars very easily, as I am an extremely discerning foodie :-)

We had a fabulous evening of great drinks and traditional Italian food. One member of the group had the special, which was a wonderfully prepared red fish and pasta. The service was equally good.

Excited to see it was the same restaurant from the medical center area. So happy to see familiar faces with the staff.... One of the waiters (Mario) has been with Aldo's for 37 years .... Excellent meal and excellent atmosphere

Salmon was very good but I believe I prefer the Anetto Salmon at their sister restaurant. The caesar salad was a disappointment at all levels. The Renzo Masi Riserva Chianti was superb as always.

Great food, I can see why they were voted San Antonio's best Italian restaurant.

Best food, ambience and service in San Antonio!! Our favorite restaurant. They treat everyone like VIP. Dined with a part of 6 and love the round tables for groups. The piccata was incredible! Husband loved the snapper! Perfect lighting for a romantic evening!!!

Aldo's comes off as authentic Italian but it is far from it. From the jump my partner and I were judged and treated poorly by the staff (the other guests there were much older). Upon sitting down our waiter was visibly annoyed that he had our table and made several rounds to his other tables before asking if we wanted to start with any drinks. The food was mid and the cocktails were also extremely sugary. Probably the fact that it is extremely overpriced is the worst part of this place. Will not ever be coming back.

My wife and I visited the original Aldo's and have continued to visit the new location. We love the food, the service is amazing, and we love Aldo's for our date night. We always feel welcome and very taken care of.
