Got this food to go. The only things picture were the fried Godzilla roll. The Philly roll was especially too stinky, like the fish wasn't cleaned enough. The other good were just average. Just wasn't my favorite sushi in SA.

The lunch specials are wonderful. We have been there several times and usually get the salmon bento box or the tonkatsu. This place never seems busy. Would definitely recommend for a quick and delicious lunch.

WOW-! Ive been going to Asoko for around a year to two and they have never failed me-! They had really nice servers and very friendly! We ordered big daddy roll, yakisoba, ikura, spicy scallop (I think) and can’t name the other sushi, and some skewers, but I recommend all of them. They gave us ice cream tempura for my parents anniversary, and it was delicious! We also ordered some green tea ice cream which is something we ate even if our buttons were bursting ? For those who reads to know, Yes there is a nice clean bathroom! Recommendations and reminders: lunch and dinner menus are different and you won’t be able to have any lunch items when it’s dinner hours. U recommend getting a sushi roll if you like them, the ingredients are conveniently placed and you can pick from there, I like the big daddy and one of the salmon rolls they are the best-! To summarize: Great food, amazing servers, nice bathrooms, amazing desserts, and I would recommend this place to anyone-!

Service was good! He was very soft spoken & kind. He was able to answer our questions to help us decide what to order. We ordered a few items & none of it was all that great. The appetizer was flavorless and cold. Same for our meal. The spicy tuna is VERY VERY red in color almost like the color of hot chips. I would say if you love sushi, sashimi or that sort of thing this isn't your place. In my opinion it's their take on traditional items so think more like fusion.

It was ok, but wouldn't go out of my way to get here, just happened to be in the area. It just didn't have the variety, I'm used to from other Japanese Restaurants. Bento boxes are not what I'm accustomed to.??? Also, could barely read the menu, lettering was too small for me, I'm a 66yr old customer, trying to make out what's on the menu, ???

The Miso soup was good, service was good, the sushi rolls, they were clean and light but really just bland. Not a bad place but it didn't make my wife and I say or feel that we will be back.

Today I came in the morning and a woman with black and green hair gave me very unpleasant treatment! I think they should not have this type of people serving the public, good food but very bad service.Today I came in the morning and a woman with black and green hair gave me very unpleasant treatment! We looked for the nearest sushi spot and stumbled upon this place. Food was great and service was fantastic. Was a third date and couldn't have picked a more comfortable spot. Highly recommend, especially if you have Natalie serving!! Will definitely be back

Hungry roll has albacore tuna, avocado, and cilantro in the inside- topped with tuna, Escobar, ponzu, and garlic crunches! The garlic crunches added a very refreshing taste to this simple roll. One of the best rolls I've had in San Antonio! I'll definitely be coming by to see their sushi chef's more!

First visit, amazing orange shrimp!Second visit, I tried the oden soup(it’s a fish cake soup), delicious soup, and I asked them to make it spicy! I highly recommend it!Other items I’ve tried is the Tiger roll. It’s a deep fried roll with salmon, tuna, with their house sauce (asoko sauce).Quality is always good and never fails to deliver!

I didn't realize until now that I didn't take any pictures of the interior or of our food when we ate here earlier this year. Therefore, the pictures here have been captured off of Google. The service is excellent. It was not our server's fault that when I ordered unsweetened tea that it was a mix-up in the kitchen where sweet tea was prepared and poured into the dispenser labeled "unsweet". Our server apologized and fixed things quickly. There is a happy hour that we took advantage of and we started with edamame, the 4-piece egg rolls, and gyoza, both steamed and pan-fried. We went ahead and ordered the Dragon Roll, California Roll, and Philadelphia Roll. My daughter had the yakisoba, which was hot and freshly prepared. The extensive use of wood lends a soothing feel to the ambiance inside. Remember you do get what you pay for, which makes this place a great spot for celebrating a special occasion or for date night. Thank you for a great experience here, and for being in the neighb
