Smallest breakfast taco I have ever seen in my entire life on a corn tortilla that I was not informed it came on most places ask you corn or flower but not here. Barely anything inside this small corn tortilla nor was the taste of this food even average. Lived in SA most of my life and never have I seen a bean and cheese taco made with black beans worst breakfast tacos ever I most definitely will not be a return customer when working in the downtown area.

Had a lovely lunch hereafter visiting the Mission. Lots of varied tacos. Particularly liked the Napolitos one. Friendly and quick service. Perfect for a casual meal with great Mexican flavour.

A friend and I went to have breakfast at Cascabel, the service was very good... we ordered chilaquiles and the chicken tasted and smelled very bad, to be honest we didn't even eat anything, and we told the waitress. She came back 15 minutes later to tell us that the manager tried the chicken and said it taste like like chicken and still asked for us to pay for it .The manager never came out to explain anything to us.But I don't recommend that place at all, the manager is arrogant and rude and the food is terrible... super bad experience.Miss the old management.Quality of food downgraded bad.

My wife and I had lunch here on 2/16/24. The atmosphere is colorful and wonderful but that’s about all this place has going for it. The service was very slow (from ordering to receiving food took 45 minutes) despite only a handful of customers. We don’t mind waiting but even when we got our food it was very underwhelming and food was lukewarm. My sope tasted like an old, used leather wallet. We saw staff be dismissive to other customers as they inquired about the wait - ain’t no need for that. This place fails with flying colors. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Very lovely and cozy place. Food has a really good flavor, and quantity is fair for the price.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to in San Antonio. The wait staff is so amazing ? I have been to Cascabel since I was a baby and I have always enjoyed their enchiladas.(This was written by my 8 year old daughter ❤️)

Legit local Mexican joint. Birria soup was hearty and warm to your soul…clearly hours of cooking with spices and bone-in goat.(add the lime juice and extra onions, cilantro and Serrano peppers for the full effect) Make me wanna try out other dishes. Guac and chips was ok but the amount of guac was too small compared to the size of chips (salsas that came with it was good though)

It was my first time trying Birria Soup made with goat meat. The desserts were a great finish, and overall, I am satisfied.

They served us a limited menu it was 1 hr before closing and the waitress asked if we would be done and out by 2 when they closed? If you want to get full at a reasonable price this is not it. We spent nearly $200 for 8 people and everyone walked out disappointed size of serving’s and felt a bit rushed . I was really hoping to impress my nephew with a good Mole Poblano instead i got thin squares of dry chicken breast covered in mole sauce, enough to make 2 tacos with their super small tortillas and you only get 2 of those. I asked for high chairs for the 2 kids and the waitress said they had none, as we walked out to the patio getting ready to leave there were several high chairs and booster seats sitting outside against a wall, it would of been nice to have one available for use for our kids. Also paid $15 for 1hr parking in the lot next to the restaurant which was way too high.

Great atmosphere, distinct regional Mexican cuisine, and good service. Good iced tea. Awesome food. Especially the salsa.
