Went here on a whim, and I'm so glad we did. My husband got the ham cheese and pineapple sub, had the perfect balance of pineapple and meat. Sweet and savory! I had the Spicy Club also amazing. Atmosphere was colorful and interesting. The food did come out fast even though place was pretty busy, the girls helping us was super patient and helpful. We will definitely be returning

Good food, fun ambiance, and kind service. This chain knows how to build a brand and stay true to it.

This place does not disappoint. I absolutely love the widow sandwich. It has so many different options that remind me back of home in Florida with Publix subs. The atmosphere of this place is super cool. It is all like smoke mushroom theme. It's super cool artwork. You might see some anime on some napkin covers. The sandwiches are extremely packed. I've been here several times.

Stopped into Cheba Hut for lunch and the experience was definitely memorable. The atmosphere is super relaxed with a playful, counter-culture theme that makes it stand out from your average sub shop.I ordered the "5-0" on garlic herb bread, and it was loaded with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the portion size was generous. They've got a variety of options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike, and it's apparent they put a creative spin on their recipes. The staff were laid-back but attentive. Despite the chill vibe, I didn't have to wait long for my order. Employees seemed to enjoy working there, which contributed to the welcoming feel of the place. The decor is quirky and fun, with references that fans of the sandwich names will catch. It's not your place if you're looking for a quiet corner to work in, though, as the music and conversations create a lively background.Prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. It's a good deal, especially considering the unique experience.Overall Cheba Hut offers a refreshing break from the norm with its distinct theme, quality subs, and friendly service. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, satisfying meal in a place that doesn't take itself too seriously. Definitely coming back to try more from their 'toasted' menu.

My boyfriend and I love this place and I've left reviews before but had to leave another one due to their amazing service. When we we were ordering we kept changing our mind on what we wanted but the cashier was very patient with us. When we finally decided they took our order but it was the wrong size sandwich due to no fault of the cashier it was us being confusing and going back and fourth. We let the kitchen staff know when they brought our sandwiches out and they were very nice and gave us both a second sandwich of the correct size without charging us extra even though we were more than willing to pay for the difference. This was very nice of them and made us regular customers for life.

This place is amazing! Theming, friendly staff, and FOOD is Top Notch! Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! I tell everyone I know in town to try this place out if they haven't already. I'm no Stoner but can appreciate the cool theme and hilarious names! They also serve homemade koolaid in a few flavors so how can you say no to that! I can't wait for the Stone Oak location to open as it is closer to my work and home and I can eat there much more frequently than right now!

Cheba Hut is a hidden gem of a sandwich shop that left me absolutely amazed. The White Widow sandwich is beyond words; its combination of flavors and ingredients is simply life-changing. I also had the pleasure of trying their Garlic Bites, which were nothing short of culinary masterpieces, cooked to perfection. And let's not forget the drinks, specifically the one's recomended by Ricki. My taste buds were in pure heaven! It was so delicious that I couldn't help but have my apple bottom jeans flying off with delight. The creativity and quality of the food at Cheba Hut truly impressed me. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly unique and delicious sandwich experience.

First time here. I ordered online. It said it would be ready in 19 minutes. I got there a little earlier and it was just about done. I ordered the tuna 8 inch. I asked for the dressing on the side. The sandwich was hearty. I could only eat half. I had the other half the next day. I ate it as a salad the next day since the bread did get soggy. They sell other items too. Their French onion soup is good. The staff is friendly. They have inside and outside seating. It is not dog friendly. Parking is tough. It is shared with the other businesses. It is limited.

I'm just going to put it right out there...this is a marijuana themed sandwich joint (see what I did there?). To be completely honest, I had NO IDEA what "Cheba" meant when I decided to pop in for a sammie. I am not into that sort of thing and am obviously not up on the terminology. So, if you feel a moral obligation not to support establishments that advocate that lifestyle, probably not the spot for you.Ok, with that out of the way, on to the good stuff! I had been craving a good tuna melt sandwich, and when I saw the Pacific Blue on the menu, I knew I needed to try it! I went simple with a basic combo of sammie, chips, and a drink. I got the 8" sub and it was the perfect size for me. All in was about $14. The drink station is fun, with several flavors of kool-aid to choose from, as well as several sweet teas and sodas. Unfortunately, there was literally no drink that didn't have sugar or artificial sweetner, so I found that to be a bummer. The sandwich came out quickly, and I feel like the "thrown together" appearance is a conscious choice on the part of Cheba. Really feeds into that whole "munchies" theme. The tuna salad was a very generous portion, and I could barely fold the sandwich together to take a bite. It was love at first bite, y'all. SO GOOD. I ate every bite and licked my fingers clean!I'm happy to see a new location appears to be getting built on the other side of town, off 1604 and Redland Road, which is much more my stomping grounds. I just happened to be on the west side for an appointment the day I tried Cheba. So, all of y'all that don't mind (or even support) the pot themed idea, please give Cheba your support. The staff were super nice and very chill (as one would expect) and I look forward to trying more of their menu!

I wanted to update my review. In my last review I rated low because the bartender refused to sell me a drink even though I'm almost 60. Texas law says if a person looks over 40 an ID isn't required, I stopped coloring my hair and it's mostly gray, so yea, I definitely don't need to show my ID. Because she asked I showed her my recently expired drivers license but she refused to accept it so I ate somewhere else that night. Management reached out to me to apologize and comped a small sandwich and a dessert for my next visit. I'm glad they did because I was prepared to never return although it's in my neighborhood. I ordered the chronic and the onion soup. I'd had the onion soup on my first visit and I was looking forward to having it again because it is delicious. The chronic was great too, I asked to substitute the pickles for fresh jalapeños instead and the added heat kicked it up a notch. I would definitely order it again but would omit the bbq sauce. I also want to return and try a few of their other sandwiches. I'm not really a sandwich person but their toasted hot sandwiches with the garlic bread are exceptional. Their signature drinks and the cool vibe of the place make the place very inviting, even for this almost 60 year old. I will definitely be returning.

Had the chance to experience this at a Yelp event in Houston so when we were looking for a good sandwich place near us on our San Antonio getaway last weekend I jumped at the chance to try this again. If you're not familiar, Cheba Hut is a marijuana themed toasted sandwich franchise chain with weed themed sandwiches. They have an extensive menu including veggie options, and all the sandwiches I've tried have been absolutely delicious. Each restaurant has a unique vibe and is decorated to fit the location. What's common amongst all the restaurants besides their menu is the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. This location had a small bar as well, as the one in Houston does, I did not check this out but read that they do offer craft beers local to the area. There's also Rice Krispie treats to satisfy any sweet munchie cravings! My go to is the Kali Mist on garlic bread, (turkey) it's fiery w their hot sauce and also stacked w lettuce tomatoes bacon etc.. The 4 inch is a perfect size for most but I wouldn't blame anyone for going for the 8 inch. My friends tried the God's Gift (chicken) and loved it also. Can't go wrong w either of these but easy to say that about any of their subs really! The sandwiches are well crafted and they are made/toasted to order. Therefore they do take a bit of time to come out. Like 10-15 min minimum.Would definitely recommend for those who'd like to up their sub game!!

I've had a lot of people tell me to come eat here and it did not disappoint. The sandwiches and soup are delicious. The staff is fun and helpful. They have a bar that I would like to come back to sit at to see what kind of drink they can make. Great place and one of the best sandwiches I've had.
