2-15-2023 Christy has SOLD the bakery to a young couple. While they have a large offering..Cristys was an old school panderia. Will miss his experience. Let's welcome the new owners. #shoplocal

It’s a really good place to get bread when the guy and older lady are there if it’s the 2 other woman it’s not the best. I found a HAIR on my bread. Kinda disappointed because this was the only place that’s close to where I live that was decent.

This business is a joke they are never open and when they say they're open they're usually not. Mediocre pastry selection. Go to a real bakery and don't waste your time here unless you're certain that they are open. Baking is just a hobby for these people.

The concha's and cuernos are delicious. Freshest I've had and I bought them around 2pm. Didn't buy anything else. I recommend.

Can't recommend this place because their Yelp schedule of hours is incorrect. If they can't update their hours, do you really think they have good baked goods? It's all about paying attention to details.

This is a cash only place! Luckily there was an ATM nearby. I really wanted to try this place out! We came in around 12:30/1:00 ish. We were the only ones in the store. The case was full so I don't know if we just got lucky or if it was much fuller earlier in the day. But there was plenty!! We were a bit confused on if they were open, even though we were standing inside and a woman was mopping. She glanced at us a few times but said nothing. At first, it was okay because we were still looking at everything. But then she turned her back on us while she continued cleaning. After several super awkward minutes I yelled into the back and asked if they were still open. A man came out and helped us. So aside from that hiccup, this place is pretty great. We just kept picking items until we realized we had two bags of pastries! There was just so much to choose from! We walked out of there with two bags of goodies for $11! Wow!?! I was seriously surprised. Mostly because there weren't any prices anywhere. So I just didn't know what to expect. The first thing I tried was the cake with pink frosting. I've had this before but not here. Usually it's super dry and this was not! It was perfection! The concha was super soft like a cloud, I've never had one that wasn't super dense. This place in incredible! Not sure how long it'll take us to make a dent in these bags but I'm looking forward to it!!!

Best conchas in town! Always so soft and light. It's the only place I can find pan de muete that isn't stone hard. The pan the muete is impossibly light and delicious. The place is small and if you show up later in the day a lot of product is sold out but it's worth the drive!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican sweet bread, it doesn't get any more authentic than Cristy's! While visiting San Antonio this past weekend, I was determined to find "authentic" pumpkin empanadas - the kind my grandparents used to buy when I was a kid. I first took my chances and purchased some from the bakery section of a local grocery chain and wasn't all that impressed, however, once I found Cristy's (purely by accident), I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for!! Not only did they have both pumpkin AND sweet potato empanadas, they also had pineapple, apple, and cream cheese varieties in addition to practically any other type of Mexican sweet bread you could imagine. They were so delicious and fresh, that I was glad we stocked up for our trip back to Dallas. Cristy's will definitely be added to my list of regular stops anytime I'm in town. Love this little gem of a bakery!!

Oh my goodness!!! Cookies were older than Joe Biden's great grandmother. They had to blow dust off the cookies before I purchased them (I thought it was sugar but I was wrong). And cristy, the cookies and cakes were crusty. Disrespectful.....I knew something was up when a sign said "cash only" aka no refundsOh and ...MOSES WANTS HIS RECIPE BACK!!!!

So a little bit of beef with this place. Their hours do not reflect when they are actually open. I have been there admittedly later in to their hours (around an hour before close according to Yelp), but they'll have already locked up! Which is a travesty because their bakery is amazing. All the food is delicious and you can walk out with about 4-5 pastries totaling just a few dollars.PSA: Bring cash! They do not take card. Never been a problem for me, but could be for others.
