Been to many Irish pubs all around the world. This is the first time that I sat down and after 30 minutes still couldn’t get a drink. Had menus and wanted to order food and dinner could not get any service. It was only about 7:30 on a Thursday night, so I can’t understand how this could happen. Ended up walking down to Waxy’s Irish pub. They have great bangers and mash and got served food (20 minutes) and drink (5 minutes).

The service was very slow. The vibe was too loud mostly because the piano player was over the top.

Not a bad experience overall, and I liked the classic pub feel of the entire place. I wasn't there for the pianos or the live singing, but it was nice to stop by and rest for a minute after a long trek along the riverwalk. And the drinks were great, too! It's a walk-in type bar where I found a seat and was delightfully catered to. With it being a pub, I figured that I'd stop for a drink. I really enjoyed the Lost Gold, it tasted great. But for the most part, the pub was a little barren. That's 2pm drinks for you.Not a bad place to stop by, and it does its best to stand out from the other dozen bars in the area as well.

Came here this past Saturday- there was a bouncer checking IDs, rightfully so as it was St Patrick’s day weekend. I handed the bouncer (who honestly seemed drunk with sunglasses on) my Government Issued Military ID. He then began to question everything about my ID as if it was a game to him, he continued laughing and then asked about my rank. I found this to be very disrespectful and put a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. He asked what “AMN” meant on my ID… as someone who lives in “military city” I thought it would be obvious that meant Airman. Mind you, I’m 28 and I know look young for my age but I don’t believe I should have been treated this way. Will never be coming back and I will be letting my friends and family not to go as well.
I agree with one of the reviewers. If you are an Irish pub, be more authentic. There are many Irish people that live or visit here, and would love to hear some great Irish music. There are plenty of pubs/bars that cater to other genres. It would be nice to be able to go to an Irish pub that plays Irish music without having to travel to Ireland.

Terrific interaction with community of poor singers and small bites tasty sips to keep the group fresh and fed. However...It is questionable if the Friendly service and Fun piano player are enough to help endure the stench from the cigarette smokers. It might be advertised that the River Walk is smoke free but that's not the reality.
