This is a good place to go in the morning to get 3 tacos for $3.25. That's is for only a certain amount of time every morning. I'm not sure what time it stops because I usually only go at like 6 am and get tacos before work. The food is very good and the atmosphere is always chill and relaxing. I like it. I think that this is a good place to go whenever you around the area.

Sunday morning driving to get a coffee and some tacos and this is the only taco place open within a few miles. I've driven by this place probably 100k times, and that's no exaggeration. Today, I finally decided to stop in. At first glance, it's a big awkward yellow building that is sort of hacienda style. You walk in and there are random splashes of color everywhere. There is no wait to be seated sign and a waitress quickly confirms, in Spanish, that we can choose to sit where ever we like. We pick a booth and sit. After sitting we realize that the table is dirty and a woman who I assume is our waitress walks up with a smile, menus in hand, and a rag to wipe the table top. It's confirmed, she is our waitress. She takes our drink order and shuffles away. We got there at about 8:45am on a Sunday morning and I'll be happy to announce that you can order from the lunch menu at that time. I chose the Mexican plate which had 1 crispy taco and 2 cheese enchiladas, refried beans, and I opted to sub the rice for potatoes. I'm not sure if my plate was supposed to come with tortillas but they never came. Anyhow, I also ordered a Carne Guisada taco with cheese since there was no plate on the menu that had that as an option. Now, I was sure to taste everything before I added any kind of seasoning..... and, well, everything needed seasoning. Potatoes were fried and added to plate with no seasoning. Beans needed seasoning, enchiladas needed seasoning, crispy beef taco needed seasoning, carne guisada needed seasoning. My frigging water needed seasoning! Okay!? (Kidding about that last one) but for real, everything but the salsa was bland and had a very strong chili powder taste. The service was friendly and the place looks like it was built to have a bar but that was covered in little flea market type trinkets and baubles. The seats were very well worn in. Literally I was sitting on sponge from the seat because the vinyl was so worn that it had eroded. I'm okay if I never come back, for a few minutes more of a drive I could have gone elsewhere and had way better food. I wanted to like this place, as it is in my neighborhood, but they won't let me!

This place has the best tacos in San Antonio, and for the price you pay, no one can match!

When you walk in the atmosphere is festive with Norteño music full blast . I was excited and expecting a great experience unfortunately I may have caught El Tako Loco on a bad day . The waitress wasn’t as inviting nor friendly the wait for 2 tacos was super long and my fajita taco with peppers and “guacamole” (was very thin sliced avocado) was dry and not much in filling . San Antonio Tx is filled with amazing Taco Houses I’m really disappointed with this experience and probably won’t be back .

I had the chilaquiles, they were good!! The red sauce they give you is delicious. I'm not a huge fan of flour tortillas & it's hard to find a Mexican restaurant that has good corn tortillas, but the corn tortillas here are GREAT!The food here is very good. I ordered the chilaquiles plate, they come with a lot of cheese. The green sauce is not spicy but has a good flavor. The red sauce tastes a little spicy but tastes delicious.
