This little place is awesome! We were treated like VIPs the moment we walked in the door. We chose to sit at the bar because we enjoyed the greeter’s humor. For the next two and a half hours Raul and Lindsay (I’m sorry if it’s Lindsey!!) waited on us hand and foot, gave us fantastic recommendations, and bantered and joked with us. Those two made our evening much more enjoyable and gave great recommendations on wine, cocktails, and food. By the way, every thing we ordered was fantastic. The food was great, the wine pairing was fantastic, and the cocktails were amazing. This is a great little place and I’m so glad we found it. We will keep coming back every time we are in SA.Dietary restrictions: My wife has a severe shellfish allergy and they were very welcoming and careful to recommend menu items that were safe for her.

I can't imagine anyone giving less than 5 stars for their experience at this restaurant. I've been eating there for years and would rate the food, the atmosphere and the service 6 stars if I were able to do that. Going again tomorrow evening and can't wait!

Have eaten there twice. I am a vegetarian. The 1st time the chef made me the most beautiful vegetarian dish I have ever seen. A few nights ago I got the most unattractive vegetarian dish I have ever seen from a high end restaurant. Green beans and carrots thrown together in a bowl. I was so disappointed. Evidently there is no standard for this dish at this restaurant. It just depends on who is cooking. Shame on you .

Took my 97 y.o. Mother here for her birthday. I’m glad I can’t afford to eat like this everyday. Food was scrumptious & Omar was so attentive. Our new favorite restaurant in San Antonio. Thank you, Frederick’s!

Consistant impeccable food and service. We always look forward to meeting our friends and relatives at Frederick's long-standing, reliable restaurant.

Frederick's Restaurant offers a fantastic happy hour selection of eclectic appetizers and custom cocktails. The intimate atmosphere is relaxing and service, table settings and seating arrangement is wonderful. A perfect getaway for a relaxing evening. Located in the heart of Alamo Heights, the premier community in San Antonio. Go there!

While the food was good, the service and attention to detail was very much lacking. The restaurant had a minimum of 8 empty tables towards the door and yet we were seated in back by a large, loud party and we literally could not hear each other speak. We inquired about a move to another table but were told they were going to be occupied and yet 2 hours later they were never occupied. THIS WILL WEIGH HEAVILY ON OUR FUTURE DINING FOR ANY OCCASION. We sat at the table for a minimum of 15 minutes with no one ever coming to our table. We were considering leaving at that point. The grilled lobster was delicious. The beet salad was delicious however it was the smallest portion we had ever had there. This was one of the big mistakes by the server. It appeared to have been split 3 ways which was not what we had ordered. The creme brûlée was not good at all. It tasted old and had no brûlée about it. The instructions for ordering our food were not adhered to. The noise from the large party likely prevented the server from hearing our orders. This restaurant used to be one of our favorites and we used to consider it fine dining however when you are forced to sit next to a fraternity like atmosphere it ruins the experience. We were there for a special birthday and it is highly likely we will not consider Fredericks for any special occasion again.

I've been to the pizza place next to Fredrick's so many times throughout the years, but I had never been into Fredrick's. The entrance is so unassuming you would never know how much deliciousness was inside. The temporary lobster fest banner is what drew us in after going to Florios Pizza, only to find it was closed for a week vacation. Upon entry the restaurant gives a cozy vintage vibe with dim lighting and kind of lounge feels. Everything on their menu sounds delicious. We ordered lobster, calamari, escargot with chorizo, and a beet salad. It was all amazing! I'm sad I just found out about this place. I will definitely be back!

French and Asian fusion fine dining restaurant with a long history in Alamo Heights. The food is always spot on. There are rotating specials to take advantage of seasonal ingredients. Service is always on point. However, the wine list is severely over priced.Happy hour prices are more reasonable, especially with the large variety of food items.

In general we liked it; (just one complaint) the duck is amazing but the paella is not really a paella at all, it is not a bad plate but definitely not paella; barely any rice and it was watery from the juices from the seafood; I do not recommend that plate but the rest was very good. The ginger crème brûlée was also delicious
