Having been to other establishments owned by The Carpenters, I was every excited to try this one out. It all started fine. We got a bottle of wine and ordered 2 appetizers and an entree. Upon our arrival & ordering there were only 2 other tables sat. The restaurant started to pick up and more people arrived. It is small, but maybe now at 30-40% capacity. Our waiter avoided us at every turn. Then 45 minutes after we had ordered my friend got up and went to talk to him to inquire about our food. He goes to the back and then walks out with orders for two separate tables that had arrived WELL after we did. When we were clearly flustered he made a comment that the printer must not have worked. Seriously?? It still never occurred to you that we did not have our food?? Complete BS. We had tickets to the theatre that night, so at over an hour in he simply said he would cancel our order and bring our check. Brought it over without an apology or we hope you give us another try or anything. It is a stark change from my experiences at Little Em and Restaurant Claudine, but completely soured my experience. I was truly looking forward to "loving" yet another concept from them, but the feeling was "we don't need your business".

Everything was great. However we were a bit let down as one of our favorite options the beet smoked salmon was out of stock. We needed to order alternatives that were not our first choice. Recommend a sign or something on the menu to indicate what's out of stock before ordering.

We arrived with the reservation to a nearly empty restaurant... Our Server told us that he would have to go and collect the Cook... who was not there... he did, and we were served our food, but the outcome was disappointing to say the least

This place is largely still undiscovered by most people. It is an eclectic place that has a nice selection of wine (mostly by the bottle) and beer, including some taps. What we loved most about it was the unique food selection including sardines with some special homemade crackers and pickled veggies. Definitely a place to chill and enjoy the laid back vibe.

This was the best meal out I've had in a few years. Every single dish was amazing. The calamari & shishito pepper, oysters (raw and roasted), tuna sando, and curry red snapper. The preparation and flavors were spot on. Plus lots of inventive techniques and combinations were used. Thank you for such a special meal.

This place has phenomenal sea food! I've been several times and have always left very satisfied. To my knowledge they are the same owners as, UpScale, Little Em's, and Nineteen Hyaku. If you've ever been to one of these, you know you're in for a treat. This time around I had the 1/2 dozen oysters and an Austin Cider

One of my favorite places for a chill night of sharing apps and drinks with friends. The staff is also some of the friendliest people I've met!

First off the service was amazing and knowledgeable. My favorite was the Tuna Sando along with the Calamari. Make sure you try the homemade tartar sauce . I highly recommend this place for the food and wine selection.

The fish and chips and sashimi are my go to order! The dill wasabi is an elegant upgrade to traditional side of wasabi. The true catalyst for coming in weekly (sometimes more than once a week) is because of Tony! Tony is one of the managers and his charisma and knowledge of the wine and entire menu is unmatched. We will continue to be here each week!

We are regulars here! Such fantastic service, ambiance and food. Big fan of the pastrami hiramsa and the sashimi. Wednesday nights they also run a half off wine special you can't beat!

What a delightful find. Excellent food quality and half price wine on Wednesday. We had calamari, ceviche and artichoke. Delicious and excellent service.

Wow! I came here on a Sunday night and it was just wonderful. Quiet and clean interior. I got the fish and chips and poached artichoke and everything was delicious. Manager Tony was so knowledgeable about wine and fish, and excited to talk about all the offerings. Will definitely be back, San Antonio has needed a fish spot like this!
