oh boy. The website makes this place and food look nice but it's horrible. The food is just bad. Had the nachos and a bowl and it was barely edible. The rice was cold and hard. Nachos cold. I was actually surprised just how bad the food was. Most of their entrees have Beyond Meat products warmed up. Anytime you have to rely on frozen items I can buy myself at the store it's time to get a chef. I had little to choose from the entrees since most were just frozen patties served over some noodles or something like that. I had the orange tofu which was disgusting. Just old microwaved tofu tossed in a cold sauce served with some cold broccoli and stale rice. Servers had holes in their shirt and look unkempt. Food looks nothing like the pics. Very disappointing.

Wonderful! Visiting from Southern California for the eclipse, we needed to find a good vegetarian restaurant. We found it at the Green Vegetarian. They had a variety of menu items, making it a tough choice, Having said that, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the options. The weather was perfect, so we chose to eat outside. We were immediately seated, and greeted by our server, Brian. Brian did a great job. Very pleasant and attentive. We started with the appetizer sampler. If you can't decide on which appetizer to order, this is the appetizer to get. Fried pickles, onion rings, asparagus, kale, and incredible buffalo cauliflower wings. My wife enjoyed the mushroom stroganoff. Huge portion, but light and tasty. She wanted to finish, but no way. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was served with a tasty gravy. I added the optional onions and mushrooms on top. The dish normally comes with mashed potatoes and gravy, but I substituted fries. Green Vegetarian is definitely the right choice, you MUST dine there when in San Antonio. If you live here, I'm sure you eat there frequently.

I ordered the green omelette and was unable to finish it! It was greasy and salty. The hash browns were tater tots and my tall stack of pancakes were burnt.

My only issue is if you have restrictions or have to be cautious about certain intakes of things like protein, calories, etc. They don’t have this information available. I love their spicy beef salad but have to limit coming here because I can’t monitor intake due to restrictions/fitness. It can be a little pricey but is fresh, simple, and good if you want to be out and about while eating something healthy. I would over all recommend.Dietary restrictions: If you have restrictions or have to be cautious about certain intakes of things like protein, calories, etc. They don’t have this information available.

Best veg food I've had in San Antonio. Special nights had great food and regular days too. Will have to come back to trivia night.

Great food with lots of options! Great customer service. Loved the vibes of the restaurant. Cauliflower wings and the kalelupas were delicious!

The food was delicious! I reserved a star because they don’t have an oil and vinegar based salad dressing (I know. Petty) The service was decent I was almost seated right way but the table was dirty so I had to hang back while it was cleaned. Also, when I got to use the restroom before settling my bill, my drink had been disposed of instead of putting it in a to go cup for me.On the many plant based menu options alone I would recommend this spot. AND I encourage anyone to try the masala burger.

If I’d left a review before today, it would have been five stars. The lack of service I received today was extremely off putting. I’m doing my best to give grace, because there have been times I’ve had to go into the office in the worst of moods and may have treated people unfairly as a result. But geez.Placed a takeout order this time. MadeMy way to the counter after not being greeted. Two young ladies were talking and had their backs turned to the dining area. I waited, and waited and finally said, “Hi there!” With a bright smile after they’d finished and still didn’t turn around. One young lady turned and rolled her eyes while the other walked off. When she didn’t say anything, I let her know I had a pick up order. “Name?” She growled out and started snatching up to go bags and checking the ticket before she slapped my bag on the counter. The only other thing she said to me was my total. She held her hand over in my face for my card. While I was still entering my pin she TURNED her back to me and got on her cell phone. I didn’t even bother asking for the receipt I’d requested. I usually tip on all orders - to go or not. I happily hit ZERO on this order. As I walked out, another young lady called out thank you to me - she probably saw the exchange or, hey, maybe she just knows good service or, heck, how to treat people with decency. I will not be back for awhile.Very disappointing. The food was still great - but that’s only part of the experience.

We have bought the cinnamon roll on many occasions, and it was delicious, but this Sunday, March 3 2024, we were surprised to buy one and it was very bad, too much cinnamon inside and bad taste of the cinnamon, the taste of the flour also very bad, the bresd is hard, everything is different, it is not the same delicious cinnamon roll that they sold, we are dissatisfied

Clean, roomy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating options. Large menu, with most items capable of being made vegan. Huge portion sizes, so prices felt very fair for the amount of food you get. Service was very friendly and helpful.Vegetarian options: Menu is all vegetarian, and most dishes can be made vegan or are already vegan. Everything is clearly labeled.

Sitting infront of the beautiful waterfall here, wind in my hair just gives the best vibes. The waitress was very friendly. I had Romanda and she suggested the Marsala burger which kept me satisfied yet not heavy. Great for people needing to get back to work. That chickpea patty with chutney and tatzik sauce matched the environment....refreshing and amazing! This meal complimented my workout today, and I feel so good about my healthy choices. So thank you Green crew for making this a fabulous day! I will return soon for happy hour. I'm told the appetizers are half off and it's byob. Sounds like a great plan on a beautiful day like today.

Green Vegetarian was the second vegan friendly restaurant I ordered food from back during the height of the Pandemic. I felt safe with their view of the COVID and I appreciated that love. The Protein Bowl is what I find so delicious and my mother-in-law and domestic partner only order this melange of yum. The people who work there are sweet. They're caring and wonderful and outdoor seating is often available. Please try it!
