It's true, the older you get the more you like Lubys. They fix food that tastes like home cooked meals. The meat portions are great, but the sides are not as generous. The prices are steep, but if you are in the mood for cuisine that doesn't taste like fast food it is worth it.Wheelchair accessibility: Several handicap spots in parking and entrance have no steps.
I love lubys & never have any issues but customer service is a major factor when I go out! Me,my mom, & grandson went around 330 on wed. I asked the older lady serving rolls if I could have 2 specific ones & she ignored me 2xs & she served 2 not even near where I pointed & laid them on the metal but still away from me. When I asked again she got aggressive and threw the bowls under & said "now they will go to waste". I was at loss for words until my mom wanted a good roll as well & she said "there all the same lady"! I made a point to tell my mom she was rude to me as well & 2 employees heard me but she didn't care, apologize or change her attitude. They were busy so I didn't make my waitress call a manager but I couldn't enjoy my meal and just told my mom we should avoid dinning here.
I love Lubys. I wish we had one closer to home. Their cream gravy has changed over the years and I’d rather them go back. Plus I’d like them to publish the recipe for their fruit salad the one with peaches in it.

Great selection at reasonable prices. Wife got meat with 2 sides, 1 of which was salad. I got 2 meats no sides at a good price for meat eaters. $14/person. Delicious!
