Great fajitas, very good margaritas, excellent all around Mexican food! Our group split chicken and beef fajitas, and chicken enchiladas, and it was all good. We had two celiacs in our party and the waitress spoke "gluten free" so that was helpful. At many Mexican places around gluten is in the meat marinade preventing us from having fajitas and other dishes so it was nice to find somewhere where that was not the case.

I hate to write a bad review anywhere, but this was the worst dining experience I've ever had. If I was management I would want to know about it. The beer we where served was flat and Luke warm. Service was absolutely terrible. I got the wrong food item and when I pointed it out the server insisted it was right. Eventually I had to order it again because he insisted he brought me the correct plate. We never received refills, throughout the night, had to eat dinner with no drink. I understand servers have bad nights but this was not good. The food tasted great. Other than that I wouldn't recommend this location.

I was there for drinks the other night and it started out great but then my friend and I started getting harassed by the bar manager Miguel. He was our bartender and as we were sitting at the bar he comes around and puts his hand on my lower back to which I politely asked him not to touch me he laughs and leaves it there for a couple more seconds then removes it on his timing to which I moved my body away from him to get the picture. As he makes our drinks he's laughing with another bartender looking at us, it was all just uncomfortable. He then proceeds to tell my friend and I that we can't have more than 2 large margaritas.. but people share a carafe? What a beautiful restaurant too bad it has to be ruined by a sexual harassing bar manager. Won't be back!

Wow first time eating at Lupe tortilla the fajitas called Grandioso were amazing !! The chicken fajitas were juicy flavorful . I had never eaten chicken fajitas as great as here. I eaten at papasitos and Chuys but this here are the best I would recommend them. My mother had the ribs and they amazing very tender and the flavor was all the way to the bone . We will be coming back service was great Daniel was our waiter and provide excellent service !!

Recently hosted a surprise party and chose Lupe's for the provided food. Order was placed at 10:30a and was set to pickup food at 2:30. Party started at 3p. Arrived at 2:30 and staff was quick to get me to sign the receipt and said food would be ready shortly. After tip, the $800 order was set. Then things went downhill. The order was far from being ready and I left curbside at 3:15, missing the surprise portion of the party. Once getting back, realized the order was short. When I called about it, was told that they were busy and would try to get my missing items in an hour or so. Overall, a sad situation as they clearly oversold and under delivered. The food we actually received was good, but there is more to running a good business. Will never use Lupe's to cater an event ever again!

Ask Miguel for a Mexican Martini and you'll be hooked! Their steak lupe was my go to for MONTHS (still a favorite)! Their asada and shrimp just hits all the right flavor points as well as their Mexican Corn (seasonal). Get some queso and ask for their original salsa that's packed with flavor and you won't be disappointed! If you visit during lunch try the chicken lupe tacos. Delicious and filling. And,of course, try the fajitas!

I placed a to go order around 6:40PM on 7/21 via telephone and I was told food would be ready at 7:15 l. I left with my food around 7:31 which wasn't too terrible. There was a customer that walked in shortly after me and got a to go order and I believe the employee workings name was Megan working the front counter. There was a half eaten beans with spoon hanging out and an almost empty tea right at the front counter. I witnessed her trying to tape a bag shut nearly knocking over the beans that were half eaten (photo attached). It just seemed unsanitary and I know that nobody would like beans on their to go orders. It seemed like it would be difficult to work on that counter with the already limited space. I am not sure whose beans they were but there is clearly a metal spoon in that photo.

We had brunch here this morning and really enjoyed it. I had the chilaquiles plate that came with refried beans and potatoes and my partner had apple cinnamon pancakes. We also had a Bloody Mary and Frozen mimosa respectively that were tasty and just strong enough to give a pleasant buzz. We were seated and served fast and the food we had was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

I eat at this Lupe Tortilla location frequently when traveling to San Antonio. Food and service are always excellent! Lupe never fails to please! As Lupe says..."Es preety good!"
I am only going to discuss the curbside service, my wife picked up an order last night and they gave her the wrong order after she waited an additional half hour over the time that was quote for pick up. She called and spoke to a manager and the first thing the manager asked was did you look in the container. Of course we did and we can tell from half pound of steak vs the chicken, steak and shrimp we were supposed to get. Really?! Than my wife goes to get the right order that the person that brings it out to her says I didn't pack this so you might want to check. What really? Glad she did as again things were missing. Even when she got it home it wasn't fully right, just had enough as it was now 9 pm and we were hungry. I guess that is what they hope for.

Several locations around SA and worth the drive. Won't find better fajitas. Beef is tender and super tasty, chicken is just as good. Go with the corn tortillas over flour tortillas, homemade and chewy. Drinks are good and the margarita options are yummy. No complaints on this restaurant. Every time we have been it's always very good food and service is above the norm for SA.

More of a appetizer and drinks place IMO. Staff was friendly and the dining area/patio were clean. Margaritas are really good, beer is cold and the appetizer menu is different than most other Tex-Mex restaurants I've been to. Also, the main courses come out pretty slow, so I'd stick with the appetizers. Food is good but nothing overly special. I'd say better than anywhere on the river walk but there's definitely better food in SA. You're more paying for the experience of the Mexico patio-cantina, which is cool to see how the inside looks like outside. I'd go back for sure, but would stick to drinks and shareables.
