Wow! This food!!! We shared one of the molcajetes (#56). it was a seafood mix, topped with massive mussels, delicious shrimp, chunky crab legs, 2 grilled octopus tentacles, and some chipotle-coated prawns. The brothy roux was deep and savory, and we couldn’t stop eating it until we exploded. The orange hot sauce is garlicky and the right amount of burn. The service was attentive and friendly. The only downsides were the tortillas were a little dry/tough, and some of the rotating mariachis had amplifiers, which was unnecessary for the small space. The parade of different mariachis that came and went was a pleasant surprise, though. Will absolutely come back, and will bring more people, because it was too much food for 2.

I thought this place would blow my mind with its food because of its many reviews, but sadly, my mind wasn't blown. The shrimp cocktail was extremely cold as if it had been defrosted cold. I understand it's usually cold, but this was almost Ice cold, and it was very sour. I suppose some people may like that and to each their own, but I like to control the sourness in my food. I got the shrimp plate with green salsa, and it was very bland; it didn't have a good tomatillo taste or cilantro. It's like you could barely taste either one. The green salsa from the bottles they brought was much better than the salsa from the dish. The servers need a bit of improvement as well; I felt judged and not entirely welcome. Will definitely not be back.

Absolute worst price gouging experience I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant, nationwide. I asked for a whole grilled octopus, which wasn't listed specifically on the menu. The wait staff was great and made it happen. The octopus was just average, real salty and rather chewy in parts. I expected to pay a little bit of a premium for it, but when they brought the check, it listed the octopus for $95!! Are you kidding me?!After some back-and-forth with the wait staff, (who were all very pleasant by the way) a woman who I'm guessing is the manager comes over with the check revised to $75 while trying to tell me with an unpleasant demeanor that they pay $80 for an octopus? Absolute ridiculousness. Anyone who has ever shopped for an octopus knows that they go for nowhere near that price. You can get decent sized ones frozen at the Asian grocery store for $30 lol. And that's retail, which is almost certainly well above the wholesale price a restaurant would pay for the same item. This dish should go for no more than $50-$60.You can judge from the picture attached to my review. Would you pay $95, or even $75, for what they served me?Considering the mediocre food, absolute price gouging and deafening loud music, I would never go back here .

A lot of noise, you can't talk, the food is more or less bad, the waiters take a long time to take the order, they bring the food to you during breaks, they serve you but not your companion, they don't give you bread or tortillas when they bring them to you, you're done. to eat the truth,

This has been one of the most authentic Mexican seafood restaurant I have eaten in San antonio. It reminded me of a restaurant I would frequently go to in Mexico. I started going during lent and they did have lenten specials. I've had the fish fry, fried shrimp and fried oysters. When I bit into the dish I was surprised to discover the freshness of the meat. It was still moist and juicy yet still crispy and crunchy outside. I have returned multiple times. The ceviche was large and delicious. I will be going again today to try more items on the menu.
