This place didn't live up the the hype. The food isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't worth the wait and the cost. We went for the atmosphere and mariachi bands, only to find out you have to pay the mariachi band to play! Very disappointing and we wouldn't bother going back. They also didn't warn us that they put a spicy pepper grind around the rim of our margarita glass instead of the traditional salt. I sent it back, but it was obvious they'd just poured the same drink into a new glass, because there were flakes of the peppers still in the drink, making it still spicy.

Came in as a last option to find something open Easter night. Turned out to be the perfect choice. We had an amazing server, great food, and a fine experience! Enchiladas en Mole were the best ever. The taco salad came with lots of steak. Finally, can’t say enough about the queso. Thick and scrumptious!!

Very festive decor. Food was very good. Small bowl of chips and refill was not offered. They have watermelon margaritas but would not recommend as it not made with watermelon juice. Strawberry would be a better choice here. Cool bakery on site as well.

Below average food for San Antonio. Drop by look around and get something from the bakery.

Very popular restaurant. But I see why. Everything was fresh. Especially the tortillas. They were so good I could eat them on their own

It has been several years(6) since we ate here last. The food was definitely better this time. It tasted like it did 10 years ago...great! Great service and the waiter was on top of everything!

I'm actually from San Antonio and I'm an exclusive downtowner. Been to Mi Tierra many of times. Been going there for over 30 years. And I must say that the service was superb. I was entertaining some friends / family from California and they absolutely enjoyed it. I've gone in the past and the food has let me down. But this time it was on point. The food reminded me of when I first started going to Mi tierra. I was actually very impressed. I have the green enchiladas.
