We often go to The Quarry but we have never seen this place for some reason. We stopped by for some drinks and a small app. The atmosphere and ambiance is super cute, great for a date night or to meet up with some friends. The drinks were really good - we got the Palomo and the Super Tuscan. They were tasty with fresh ingredients. We got the calamari as an appetizer and it came with jalapeño strips and olives in the batter which was unexpected. We didn't try too much on the menu but we would come back to try some more.

Food is great, specially the pastas. Service was also very friendly and fast. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

A charge of $4 for bread. Absolutely unacceptable. There other great Italian restaurants where bread with your meal is complementary. Italian food without bread is unheard of. Your food is also not so special. Good bye Piatti. Hello Paesanos or Maggianos or ...... so many other choices.

A couple of friends took us out to eat and chose Piatti. My first choice would have been Paesanos. For the most part, the food was ok, as well as the service. After 4 meals, a bottle of wine, coffee and desert the tab had to be around $150 to $200 before any tip. Here is my complaint and the reason I will not return to Piatti. When we got there, we were not offered any bread, which I thought was strange. Then the salads were brought out, and no bread brought to the table. So I asked for some and was told that because of "covid" (whatever that means) they no longer provide "free" bread and if we wanted it then we would have to pay $4. Seriously? Flour, yeast, salt and water have gotten so expensive they can't provide it anymore? I felt like we were at Luby's! A big turn off for me. Really made me wonder what else they are scrimping on. To me, this has tarnished their brand.

First time here in a longgggg time. Very disappointing menu selection. Did not appear 5-Star as it has been in the past. Ambiance subpar, clientele not as polished as previous years. Dishes so small, almost like child servings. And they no longer offer complimentary bread...wow!

We dined at Piatti for my husband's 55th birthday this week and the experience/service was beyond words.Ian, our server, was one of the best we've had in years. He was attentive, but not hovering, knowledgeable of the menu/wine list and at the ready with suggestions for food/drink. He was also extremely gracious to my young daughter and niece, who had myriad questions. ?‍♀️Ian's attentiveness made the slight wait between courses almost unnoticeable.I addition to the fantastic service, everything we ordered, from the burrata and soup, to the pork chop and short ribs, was delicious! They even made a special birthday dessert for my husband complete with a sparkler. This was the first time dining at Piatti since the renovation/menu-changes and everything is just as great--if I dare say better-- than the "old days".We are definitely looking forward to dining at Piatti in the very near future, hopefully with Ian as our server.?

We had the world's best server - Ricardo. I was worried because our reservation was for 8:30 due to my work schedule. The person who greeted us said we had to have our entire order in by 9:00 and I immediately felt pressured and rushed. However, our kind and professional server assured me that I didn't have to rush. He answered all of our questions and was very gracious. He did not rush us and gave me a dessert for my birthday. He helped me relax and my husband and I had such a good experience that my husband asked me if he could go there for his birthday. The only slight discomfort was an extremely loud party of four. One woman was very loud. Not the restaurants fault. Thank you, Piattis.

Our server made some great recommendations. I had the Chicken mattone and my husband had the Sweet potato crusted trout. Our kids had pizza . Everyone was satisfied with their meals. We will definitely go back .

Piatti is my absolute favorite restaurant in San Antonio. The short rib with polenta and salsa verde satisfies my taste buds every time! I move out of state in a few months and this restaurant is the #1 thing I'll miss from San Antonio.

First time, and it was excellent. Portions are very small for the price. Had a piece of salmon over spinach for $24. Bread was extra.
