I didn't go for a show. Just for lunch. Tasty burger, cool spot, fast and friendly service. If you're a music fan, lots of great decor to look at.I'd eat again.

Went specifically for Awright music. They were amazing. Inside is a bit cold so make sure you take a light sweater if your not drinking. Got the fried chicken salad. The chicken was tender on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Just wish the pieces were cut a lil more bitesize. They were huge.

Any business that disarms law abiding citizens and puts my family at risk is both foolish and short sighted. If the dirtbag comes in to murder, how would people defend themselves. They don’t even have armed security to stop it and worse, prevent trained sheepdogs from being able to stop it… yet security would have been very easy to slip gun by. We are in the downtown crime ridden area of San Antonio… do better with your business decisions and how you treat your patrons. Won’t be back unless you start respecting your customers and the natural law of self-defense.

Best burgers and bands in downtown San Antonio.*Update 4/12/24We visited Sam's Burger Joint again to see a Live Show and as always, we had dinner beforehand. I ordered the Sliders flight, which is 4 different sliders (my photos only show 2 because I had already ate 2 of them!)The food was hot and delicious and the beef is still tasty and flavorful. Beers on tap were ice cold and yummy!Unfortunately, like most restaurants that have been hit by inflation and such, prices have gone up. There were two of us and the other food we ordered was a Chili Burger and regular order of French Fries and 2 beers on tap. The bill was about $50, not including tip. Whew!Parking: You can park near the Pearl Brewery, across the street. There is a Paid lot for about $4 with live security. There is also a Free lot, but no security. If you can find a spot on the street, there are parking meters.
Best burger out of the 8 places I've tried so far. Yummmmm!

We were pressed for time and spotted this spot near The Pearl. Burgers are well apportioned. We had Old Fashioned which is just a burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard. Very tasty.

A friend and I went for lunch today since I had a $50 gift card. We got 2 burgers with sides and drinks, and it cost the whole gift card. Incredibly overpriced for what we got: 2 very sad, underseasoned burgers with cold buns. Despite being a big fan of pickles, the fried pickled were spears and honestly felt a little too much. Fries do not come included, but I do have to say they were the highlight of my meal. I genuinely have no idea why this place has such high reviews from other people.

Wow! If you did not ask for a tour of the WHOLE venue… You missed out!! Holy cow!! There’s a whole hidden concert venue!!! Keep your eyes peeled!!The service was great!! Angel and another young lady without a name tag we’re both very helpful in describing, not just the menu, but the whole venue! Cool place!! ?
Glad we finally visited. "Gourmet" burger joint (my description, not theirs) so expect to pay a lot more than at MickieD's.Burgers are made to order and by default our medium, which I prefer. My deep fried mushrooms were excellent! Some of the best I've had anywhere. The fries were on point too. Interestingly, the burger was well cooked and prepared, but strangely somewhat tasteless, as if it needed seasoning.Still, I would definitely go back and feel like it's one of the better burger places in the area. Nice work, Sam's!

So I ordered just a bun lettuce and tomato because I’m avoiding certain foods right now. It was so delicious and the people are so friendlier so amazing. I absolutely love it! And they have music here on the patio bonus. I know Taylor has.I am so surprised, but the bun by itself with the lettuce and tomato is so delicious so that explains why the people who eat burgers enjoy it here. Absolutely amazing.
