Wonderful experience but know that it will be loud! This is not intimate and romantic dining! The outdoor patio is basically the bar! It's casual and very loud! Food was excellent!

Someone recommended this restaurant to us, so when we stayed in the Hotel close to it we had dinner there. Food was great and the ambiance inside nice, sadly was outside a bit noisy as the highway goes right across from it.

The food here is exceptional and the service is top notch as well. We drove from SE SAT based on the reviews and were a little surprised by the location. In that neighborhood I guess we expecting something a little more chi-chi. But wow! Reviews were 100% correct and we were so glad we made the trip. Easily one of the best meals we've had in the San Antonio area, in fact I am not sure I would go anywhere else for upscale seafood. I advise reserving indoors. Outside is next to the highway and it's pretty loud.

We came for lunch. The Oysters were Delicious. They have a variety to choose from. I recommend the Blish and the Standish Oysters. They were on the sweeter side. The crab came is a great choice for an appetizer for 2. The honey glazed salmon was delicious. Definitely recommend.

Food was very good. And deserts even better. The only thing I didn't appreciate was that our oysters weren't detached from the shell and all of the juice had been discarded or spilled. Oysters on the half aren't cheap. And you'd expect an Oyster Bar to be able to serve them correctly. Service from Kyle was great, what a sharp and personable gentleman he is.

The servers are great unfortunately the manager is horrible. Ordered the beef tenderloin and for the temperature to be medium rare. It was served well-done. Notified our server right away and politely sent it back. The manager made our server come back to the table with the same plate and explain that it was actually cooked properly, but the lighting outside is "bad" and therefore did not allow us to see that it was actually medium rare. Then welcomed us to come inside to look at it in better lighting. I was completely astounded by the manager 's handling of this for several reasons. 1) The ridiculous explanation of the lighting implies we are too stupid to know what a medium rare temperature of a beef tenderloin looks like. 2) Because we don't know what medium rare looks like, I should accept the original preparation as is, even though we already had sent the plate back. 3) Not taking accountability for the mistake , not correcting it right away and making me feel as if I did something wrong. This is the most disrespectful treatment I have ever received from a restaurant manager. It's unfortunate because all the servers there are amazing, but I refuse to come back due to this incident.

I own a 220 seat fine dining restaurant on the MS coast. My staff is outstanding, In all honesty Wes and his staff, especially the head chef would certainly give us a run for our money. Food, preparation and presentation are unequaled. Jim P

The staff was outstanding!!!, food also top notch, bar makes the best martinis and have blue cheese olives which pushes the drink to the next level. Been to Silo many times and the food and service is consistently great.

Whether it's a romantic date night or just treating yourself, this place has it all. Seriously, dive into anything on the menu, but don't miss out on the Sea Bass--it's out of this world! And hey, if you didn't plan ahead, no worries! The bar area is just as awesome, with the same top-notch service and delicious food, just with a bit more buzz. Cheers to good times at Silo!
