They were out of half the items on the menu. Went with a group of 7 and it was disappointing.

Catfish plate is crispy and flavorful, but let's be real, this place is called "Samshin Crab," so how was the crab? Well, my wife is an avid crab lover, and after a long day of not eating due to a late evening MRI, we decided to grub down and grab the Crab Trap. 6 clusters of way OVERCOOKED snow Crab. Let me tell you about disappointed ? Crab Difficult to remove due to the overcooked nature of the Crab. Potatoes were tough and seemed like they were cooked and then sat a while and then reheated in water. Gross. Let's just say stay away from this place unless they learn how to cook the 1 thing they are apparently known for.

We went there for crab and definitely got crab! We waited for 30 min being that it was 5 pm on Saturday night. We got a margarita flight and all of them were tasty, but a little pricey. You got 4 small mason jars for $20 ish dollars. My friend and I split a boil. I liked that you could choose the seasoning and heat. We got calamari for an app, it was alright kinda chewy, but the sauce it came with was fire! My boyfriend got the redfish and he said it was super dry and the rice and veggies it came with were bland. Our boil was great we got crab, sausage, shrimp, potato, and corn. I loved the flavor. They took a bit to bring us bibs and gloves and once they did we dug in but they were out of crab crackers. They said they’d bring them when some were clean, but never did. So we used our forks (might have gotten bent them by the time we were done but oh well) our bill was $144. I might go back if I’m feeling a crab boil, but otherwise meh.

Delicious food with a short wait time! We ordered the crawfish fries, hush puppies, and the the crab trap. Some of the crab legs were over steamed but majority was easy to break and delicious. Very happy with portion size and

Delicious food! It was a little expensive but worth it. Our service this particular evening was fair, but not good. But the crab and fresh LIVE crawfish made it a good experience.

Nice place, great atmosphere. Food tasted good. Prices are so incredibly high that most people only get the smaller basket for $14-18. Lobster bits in Lobster and macaroni and cheese was $39. 6 inch Lobster roll $32, etc. It's almost cheaper to go to Red Lobster, and you'll get more for your money. The bill, before tip, was $211. Crazy!!Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome.

The food was amazing omg! I loved everything and could eat it everyday. My low rating is based on the service. I felt discriminated against by my own kind.We went this past SaturdayIt almost seem that the African American server with braids served all the other tables in the area except ours. We were the only African American family on that side. When we were seated he told us that some other guy would be our server but got our drinks. We waited for over 20 mins and still no other waiter came over.We eventually waved him over and he stated your server is busy I will take your order. He wasn't friendly or as perky as he was when he greeted and served the other 3 tables in our area.It was an odd feeling! At the end he did converse with us.I don't know if he feels that maybe the black people don't tip as much as other races. We left a $40 tip hoping that he doesn't stereotype or discriminate against other black families. Other than that, I recommend the grilled oysters and soft crab poboy

First time going because we couldn’t find the other seafood place we were told about, so we googled best seafood and Smashin Crab was one of the places recommended.Atmosphere was great.Ordered our drinks and Received plastic cups when others received glasses right after us being seated. Was told due to no clean glasses.Nephew wanted the seafood boil , was told no crawfish was available, would only get shrimp in boil.My pasta tasted as if boiled in crawfish water. Wasn’t what I expected. We love seafood this why I bought my nephew out with me. Sad to say it wasn’t what we expected.

This place is what Joe's Crab shack used to be. Large portions, reasonable prices, and excellent and incredibly attentive service. I could not recommend this place more, and I'm glad I stopped by while in town. If you're seeking a good southern boil, look no further.
