My wife has celiac disease, and she had searched for a dedicated gluten-free restaurant for us to try during our recent visit to San Antonio to visit family. She found this place, so we tried it out with members of my extended family. In our group of twelve, aged 1 through 70 with two celiacs everyone left happy. Neither celiac had a reaction to gluten, and everyone (including those accustomed to "regular" food) spoke highly of the unique flavors. Of the dishes that I personally tasted, the barbacoa chilaquiles were particularly excellent, and I also quite enjoyed the pork belly delight, chorizo empanadas, fried chicken on sweet potato waffle (and I don't even really like sweet potato), and brioche french toast (which may have been the fluffiest gluten-free bread I've ever had). Everything was so good that my wife and I came back later the same week to celebrate our anniversary. The sesame chicken and the duck with hibiscus mole did not disappoint, but the MVP of the meal was the Korean fried cauliflower appetizer. (Chef, my wife wants you to know that it is worthy of being a main dish, perhaps accompanied by avocado.) On our way out the second time, we spoke with Chef Leo and his sister Michelle (an excellent hostess, BTW) and advised them that we would be very disappointed if they weren't in business the next time we came back. The chef mentioned how his sister's celiac disease was one of the inspirations behind the "gluten-freeness" of the restaurant. It's a true family affair - the best kind of restaurant to patronize, IMO. And don't worry, if you like gluten (like me), you won't miss it here - the food is real food.

This was our first time here, we started with the Korean Fried Cauliflower, my sister had the Chicken Hong Kong Waffle and I had the small Japchae with pork belly! They were excellent and so was the service. Small restaurant that packs a large punch.

Having Celiac, it's hard to find places to eat especially when out on vacation. I searched reviews of restaurants that had GF options and this had many great reviews! I was so excited and was even more pleased to learn that EVERYTHING is gluten free! It's like the heavens opened up and the light shown on this place! Our hostess told us that she also has Celiac and turns out, she is also the owner's sister! We ordered the Steak Frites, Chicken on a Stick, Sesame Chicken Delight, and their Wok Fried Signature Pork Belly Delight. They were all delicious and super glad to have had the chance to taste everyone's dish! My favorite was the pork belly though! It was tender and the BBQ sauce was very tasty. The sesame chicken and chicken on the stick tasted the same to me but still very good. We also enjoyed the steak frites. We ordered their Churro Bread Pudding for dessert. It was SO GOOD that my son practically inhaled it and he's not GF! I hardly ever get to order desserts when I go out to eat and so it was so nice to be able to have so many options! If we had more time, we definitely would have come back to try the other dishes!

Chef Leo has an incredible menu of delicious and beautiful entrees and appetizers! The food is amazing for any pallette but if you have any sensitivity to gluten you'll have a safe dining experience - the menu is gluten free!Dietary restrictions: Menu is gluten free.

Off the hook! (is that still a saying?) absolutely best we've had in San Antonio. Probably top 5 all time restaurants we've been to, and that includes some 5 star places. I wish I could have licked the plates, ha. Mexican corn, duck, grilled fruit arugula salad. And that waffle! Can't wait to go again!

Wow! I just had the most incredible dining experience at a hidden gem of a restaurant in San Antonio, Texas. The Chicken on a Stick was truly a masterpiece. The combination of juicy chicken, creamy green goddess dressing, crunchy sesame seeds, spicy jalapeno, and sweet and savory gochujang sauce was pure culinary magic. The steamed rice and refreshing Asian slaw on the side perfectly complemented the dish. The flavors were expertly balanced, and each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The presentation was also visually stunning, with vibrant colors and creative plating. This restaurant truly deserves a Michelin star for its innovative and exceptional cuisine. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who clearly take pride in their work.If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in San Antonio, look no further than this hidden gem. Don't miss the Chicken on a Stick – it's a game-changer! ??Parking: Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Staff is very attentive to children

S&S for my birthday lunch. None of us had been here before so could have been taking a gamble.First and foremost the entire menu is gluten free 5⭐️. It indicates there are GF options but the friendly server informed me she has Celiac and that was the case with the menu. This made choosing even harder as now the choices grew exponentially. Everyone in my family got something different in an effort to let each other try.My Husband - Chicken & Hong Kong Waffle - Insane! The chicken was crispy, and fresh, the pancake sweet and soft just delicious. He was not the least bit hesitant to share as it was a healthy portion. Easily enough for two people.Daughter - The taco flight - She loved the chicken 4⭐️ , was obsessed with the pork belly 5⭐️, just liked the corn 3⭐️, while the corn taco tasted good it “was weird to have no meat” but great for vegetarians or as a side.Myself - Steak Frites with two Sunny eggs 3⭐️ - The meat was so tender you could cut it with a knife. But I have to say the entire dish was a little over salted for me.Daughter - Signature Wok Kimchi bowl 5⭐️ - Let’s just say, she said she’d be getting it again.Family - Churro Bread pudding. Delish! We took it home and warming instructions were provided. I may get this again take it home and add apples although it’s wonderful as is.Over all the service was fantastic, drinks are refilled, you’re not paying for a fancy building, or decor you are paying for fresh food and all sharing size portions. (At least in my family) We all agreed we’d like to come back and try something different as there’s plenty on the menu. To mention I’ve seen reviews about it’s not being “Asian” or “Mexican” enough. It’s fusion! And having lived in multiple cities in California, Seattle, Houston and been to multiple countries this is a fantastic fusion spot!Dietary restrictions: The ENTIRE menu is gluten free.

Quality of food was great. Unique concepts that surprised us. Definitely a hole in the wall location but they do a good job with the space. It's a little pricey but you're getting what you pay for. The chef did a good job!
