Wow, HEB got breakfast tacos? Yes they do, and they’re really good. See pictures. True Texas Tacos is in the little HEB gas station out in front of the parking lot. It’s *not* in the True Texas BBQ drive thru connected to the main grocery store. I hope HEB does this at other locations in the future.

True Texas Tacos by HEB are a good option for solid breakfast tacos. I've had the egg/bacon strip, country sausage/egg, sausage/egg, carne guisada, bean and cheese/bacon. Tortillas are fresh and homemade. Portions are good for the price.

I come here for tacos on the weekends and they have the best, freshest breakfast tacos on my side of town. It's in a gas station so there's no seating except outside, but plenty of room to stand and wait for your tacos. Today, the employees were straight fire. I noticed how well they worked together as a team, fast and efficient. I called and found out Melissa is the manager today. Kudos to this manager and her team. Looking forward to enjoying my tacos at home.

Why did they change the tortillas? They are absolutely trash now! They are not good. They look fake and they are even smaller which means they give you less egg for the same price. If you think I’m lying. Go try and order the tortillas by themself. THEY DONT EVEN SELL THEM BY THEMSELVES ANYMORE. I don’t even want a response from the owner. It needs to be fixed. Whoever made the call to change tortillas is a dummy and didn’t think things through. I would add a photo but the taco didn’t deserve a photo.

This might be first time I've seen heb fail.....been here 5 times, 2 times were closed early at noon, other 3 times my order has been messed up or took way too long. The space in the gas station isn't big enough for crowd they are drawing.......it's not worth it. Way better taco options out there

we've gotten tacos here off and on since they opened.from my experiences the quality has been on a steady decline.although i appreciate a GOOD tortilla, im not too picky about them usually. but all 3 of my tacos today (around noon on a tuesday) were really not good. thick, chewy and rubbery. if these were HEB tortillas, NOT convincing me to buy their brand with these. i dont know if they had been reheated, were old or what. and i realize food prices have gone up, sausage & egg tacos were $2.69. not bad, but they were SKINNY; hardly any filling. up the price if you need to, but please give me something other than aninedible tortilla with a spoonful of filling for my $$$.construction workers were filing in, usually an indication of a good place for tacos. but i didnt find that today.also, not sure if they were out or have cut back on avail salsas - they had 3 with several empty spaces on the salsa bar.too many spots near me for good tacos, not sure if i'll try em again.

Everybody likes a deal, esp. when food costs are getting higher as with everything. I usually make a Protein Shake after my AM workouts & sometimes a sandwich or snack as I cool down. I didn't today so I remembered about the $0.99 egg & potato Monday breakfast taco deal! I bought 4 & waited probably about 10 minutes. It started to get busy & a line was forming so glad I got a head start. I took photos of the menu & enclosed donut/pastry area. Adjacent to the service counter is a cooler with ice cream & frozen alcoholic smoothie drink packages for $2.49/$2.69. Hmmm...I'll have to remember that for convenient poolside drinks!I placed some Green Salsa to go in the little plastic condiment container at the self-serve Salsa Bar. They had Pico de Gallo & Red Salsa as well. Order was hot & ready & the flour tortilla was nice & tender. It says you can opt for Corn Tortillas but I always crave flour in my breakfast tacos. I've never had any of the Specialty Tacos but will keep it in mind. They also serve the South Flo pizzas so sign up for text messages to get coupon deals!

The best people and the best food in the most unsuspecting place you would ever think. Hands down the best breakfast tacos in San Antonio. They are always Super fast even though the tacos are handmade they get out the orders super fast and everything is so fresh, super fresh and everything there is so clean all the time which is one of the many reasons I come back multiple times a week
