I was excited to try the BBQ from Uncle Danny's truck at the point. It smelled delicious. My excitement quickly turned to dissatisfaction. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was the most fatty and tough brisket I have ever had. My wife and I could not even bite through it. I can honestly say that it was the worst brisket I have ever had. I threw it all away and went to another food truck to get something edible. Very disappointing.

Terrible service, they see people standing on the window waiting to order and they completely ignore them to talk amongst themselves and look at you every once in a while

I recently ordered a loaded baked potato from this place, it was quite embarrassing of an entree to have been served to a customer! The potato lacked size, seemed like a side baked potato, they was literally a SPRINKLE of cheese a SMEAR of sour cream and a pinch of brisket! Taste did not compensate for any of this! I saw several orders go out that looked very small, for the money.....order from another truck!

Uncle Danny's Backyard BBQ is a resident truck located at The Point Park. Pitmaster Daniel is a pro behind the WOOD! Yes, real wood, pit smoked Q! My go to is the marbled brisket in a sammich or in a quesadilla (ask for the salsa!) and you have to get the potato salad! It's got a secret ingredient that makes it my fave potato salad around. Service is super friendly too!! Make sure to visit them on your next visit to The Point you won't be disappointed.

I visited Uncle Danny's Backyard BBQ. The owner operates a food truck that he parks in the parking lot of Rainbow Gardens on Bandera road and he promotes that he is an award winning BBQ competitor. Well, I am always down for some good ole' Texas BBQ. This was Texas BBQ with a Mexican food twist--Borracho beans and Mexican rice on the side. I tried a 3 meat combo plate (brisket, chicken and sausage) and I was disappointed with the outcome. The brisket seemed like they gave me the burnt leftover scraps after serving the real brisket to someone else. The chicken and sausage were better, but nothing to write home to Mama about. The best thing on my plate were the beans. I'm sad to say, this meal did not satisfy my BBQ Jones. I thought the portions were decent and the price for the meal was reasonable. Unfortunately, I probably will not return to Uncle Danny's Backyard for BBQ.

I saw the average reviews on this food truck and decided to try anyway. My friends and I tried the brisket, ribs, and chicken and were pleasantly surprised at the flavor and reasonable price. Well worth a try. Hot sauce is good, bbq sauce store bought, but I still gave him a 5.

We decided to support a local food truck and we were not disappointed. The brisket is smoked daily on site and is really delicious and tender! We ordered the 2 meat combo with sides and tried the brisket and sausage. Great price point for all you get as it comes with potato salad, rice and beans. We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem and would definitely recommend! Next time you're visiting rainbow garden, give this guy a try and support local!

We came here for San Antonio's Chalk It Up. We stood in a long line for 2 sandwich combos, that were $10 and included fries. When we got to the front of the line we were informed that they were out of fries and were substituting drinks instead so we got 2 purified waters since we don't drink soda. There was already free water stations at this event so we really didn't want the water but had already waited in a long line. They should have updated their board. They also were out of hot dogs for our daughter. To make matters worse the cheeseburger and brisket sandwich were rather small. I would have expected a hooked up sandwich since there were no fries, but they were probably around 1/4 pound or less. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the sandwiches did taste good, but were very small and without fries we were still quite hungry after spending $20 at this food truck. They could have offered some chips or a discount or at least updated their board to indicate they were out of fries, or like I said maybe made a bigger burger or brisket sandwich.
