Vanna is one of the BEST bartenders we’ve ever had! Incredibly welcoming, friendly, personable and professional. Made us feel super comfortable during our first time sitting at the bar and offered warm bread while we sipped our drinks & waited for our to-go order. We were stressed and waiting for a tow truck since we blew a tire right outside their parking lot and what normally would’ve been a miserable couple hours turned into a fun and enjoyable evening thanks to Vanna. Our situation was unfortunate, but we were so grateful it happened where it did!

I would have this place rated higher if it is not for the subpar service. Went in there during a quiet Saturday afternoon around 2PM. Was promptly seated after getting in there, server came up and took the order shortly after we were seated. However, that was the server decided to go on being in missing in person mode. The server never really bother to check on us for refill or if everything is ok after the appetizers come out, and our food didn’t come out until about 30 mins later after the appetizers came out. If it is during a busy restaurant hour I would understand, but during a quiet afternoon hour where the restaurant is not even half full? That’s totally unacceptable. Moreover, after the food finally came out, we had to ask the server three times for some chill pepper flakes, during this time the server actually pass by a couple time helping the table next to us but never bother to bring us what we need. By the time he finally brought it to us, we were actually almost full and ready to pay and leave. Again, the food was not bad, just the service needed to be a bit more attentive.

Jhada(similar to Sade) has got the most phenomenal personality, she is an awesome person. Our meal was so enjoyable, good was hot, fresh and delicious. Entire staff was on point, it was like watching a perfectly tuned ballet. Thank you all. Juju is also a spectacular server! Great job on finding such talented and personable people. Highly recommend visiting this location

I wish I could give 6 stars. We had the best time. Our waitress was wonderful. You never had to worry about anything running out. She took the time to make sure that the 81 year old lady with us was comfortable and at ease. The food was impeccable. After we left the 81 year old just went on and on about how much she enjoyed it. Major praise to the whole experience! We'll see y'all again the next time we come to San Marcos.
