Not happy with the way chopped brisket served, it's been placed in the sauce- I would prefer to add my own- I was told it's barbecue that's leftover do it's placed in sauce. The spicy sausage is good.

Think this place is undervalued because of the size, but you trust me, you will not be disappointed. The Mac and cheese is rich and flavorful. Then they have this 'pre-mixed' pulled/chopped brisket that so so tender and mixed with bbq sauce that you wouldn't want to eat anything else?. Ribs bones are tender, not overly salted! Even if you're in a rush, they have you covered with drive-thru ?. When you have time do go inside and be treated by the friendly staff and sweet aroma of BBQ! I was going to revist another place I went to in San Marcos to give them another try but something pulled me towards this place and it was worth it and priced better...my only thumbs down is for pickles...I just hate them and they loaded them on the tray; didn't know because the tray was brought to my seat. Now that's service!❤️

The brisket was slimy and almost oozy, the hatch sausage was tough and and old, but the ribs seemed ok. I was very disappointed.

I eat burnt ends and slaw. They both tasted good. I wish they had dt. Coke . The place isn't fancy inside but I come for the food. Otherwise a great place to stopped by and have some BBQ.

I moved out of state from SM two years ago and whenever I’m craving amazing bbq, I always think of this place. Today is my best friend’s birthday (she deserves the best of the best) so I of course ordered her the JP for pick up. The employees were so kind over the phone and even wrote Happy Birthday on the bag for me.This was my friend’s first time having BBQ from here. After eating the JP she texted, “Life Changing. It was SO good. The ribs were so good I was in shock.”Thanks for never disappointing San Marcos BBQ!?

This was the 3rd Texas BBQ place we tried being from out-of-state and in my opinion, BLEW AWAY the other two. The Buddy sandwich was absolutely fantastic! Spicy sauce was on point! Love this place for local BBQ! It is our “go to” favorite at least once a month. My favorites are the brisket, turkey, and sausage, especially the hatch sausage. My hubby loves their ribs. Good sides too with the very best cabbage you will ever have! They now have 2 locations in San Marcos so they must be doing something right!
