A perfect hidden South Texas gem where some of the best and most unique vodkas are produced. The tasting room had a relaxed atmosphere with a rustic layout and great service, it is so relaxing and it's so peaceful in there. Hand made cocktails featuring the local spirit are top notch, live music is featured as well. They offer tours of where the magic happens (I'll try to make it early enough next time) but definitely a positive, relaxing atmosphere to enjoy some locally made beverages. In addition to that you can buy bottles on site (I did). A nice small display of merchandise is available as well. We'll be back, and we highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Great Vodka, Roy does a very good job with his Vodka. It has defiantly become my go to. I haven't been since the remodel but am looking forward to it. If you haven't had the Wild Rag Vodka products or been to the tasting room, I highly recommend it. Try all three flavors!

Having been raised around the area I was really looking forward to having a drink with my family and supporting a small local business. After hearing and reading great reviews about South Texas Distillery my family and I decided we'd pay a visit. Much to my surprise, moments after we walked in dressed in our Mexican inspired attire paired with matching sombreros and floral crowns (which was all part a baby shower we had just attended) while we sang along with the hired entertainment, one of the owners, Lupita Aguilar approached us saying as she took her stance, "If you all have been drinking, we can not serve you." As I reassured her that we in fact had not been drinking I couldn't help but think about how belittled this woman had just made me and my family feel. Was it because of the way we were dressed? Was it because we sang along a little too loud? Was it because maybe we were an embarrassment to their establishment? Was it because we were a little too Mexican? While I will never return to this place of business I hope that no one will have to feel the way we did tonight.....

a stop off the beaten path that is well worth it. be sure to chat with Royel and his wife, great folks! if you're lucky, there will be a great live band playing. and of course, the mesquite bean vodka is awesome!
I'm so glad my friend & I took the trip to South Texas Distillery! The Aguilars are great folks, the staff were attentive with excellent service, & the Wild Rag mesquite bean vodka is smooth as silk. Highly recommend the Martinis.

I love that this place is just down the road from my house out in Boondock, South Texas. Whenever I have company, the first place I want to take them is out to see Texas's only true-blue, handmade vodka distillery. Royel and Lupita are making history! Not only is a trip to visit the distillery a novel idea for entertaining visitors, but Roy makes some damn fine vodka!

Incredible quality right here in our hometown. They have built a very nice tasting room and the people are always friendly. Definitely get some of their soon to be famous Mesquite Bean Vodka!

I just watched an episode of Texas Bucket List featuring Wild Rag Distillery. I love the Wild Rag Texas Torch Cinnamon Flavored Vodka and so visiting this Distillery is now on my bucket list. I just wanted to bookmark it so I would remember to visit it next time we head to Corpus or San Antonio but it wasn't on Yelp yet. So here you go, Mr. Aguilar, this should help get even more visitors to your place!
