Service could have been better! The wait was a lengthy and after I place my order for a chopped sandwich and fries, 3 orders behind me were able to get there order before me. The chopped sandwich was okay and the presentation did not look tasty. The chop, pickles, and onions was placed between thin slices of bread. So it did not hold my sandwich together and the bread got soggy. I would recommend getting the poboy bread. I assumed when it said squared loaf, I was thinking getting Texas Toast bread which is thicker. After waiting to get more order, the fries were cold and not crisp. Overall it could have been better. Maybe next time if decide to detour from I-10 to travel back to Houston. I have and will be working in the area every week for a while now.

It's a pretty good BBQ place, they definitely give you enough to eat on their BBQ sandwiches they stuffed mine. And they taste pretty good two.

I ordered a family meal with brisket, chicken and sausage. It was around 55 dollars. The brisket was dry and largely lacking any smoke taste. It was very disappointing. The 2 sides we got, the peach cobbler and Mac and cheese were also not great. The food did not taste bad, but not good enough for me to ever return. My order was taken at the counter by very nice people. I got my food to go pretty quickly.

Overall, great food. I was disappointed that the turkey was dry. I believe that it was precut thus dry. Brisket has amazing bark and flavor. I would like definitely try again. Would like to try the grilled cheese brisket sandwich. Looks so good!!

Saw this place on Elder Eats. Drove in from San Antonio only to be very disappointed. The brisket was tough, bland and No smoke ring. It tasted as it was boiled. The Mac was over cooked. The sausage was okay but nothing to brag about. David Elder, not sure how you liked this but it was the worst BBQ I've ever tasted. Do not recommend this place to anyone.

I didn't care for the food at all. The sausage casing was so thick, my husband had to eat around it and the brisket was fatty was barely any flavor. The baked potato was decent. They mostly have picnic tables in their dining room so we got ours to go. It took a while to get our food even though it was all in front of us. After seeing it on Elder Eats, I was greatly disappointed.

Arguably the worst BBQ I’ve ever eaten. They serve pieces of brisket that I normally cut off before cooking, or at least make sure it renders properly.
