Jungle Explorer Approved! Extremely Please! My wife and I ended up here after a long day. It was 8:30pm and we were heading for the Wendy's that is right in front of this place. As I was waiting in line at Wendy's I saw their colorful sign in my rearview mirror and turned around to get a better look. We decided to give it a try, with a little hesitation, because it was only a half an hour before closing; and we all know that is taking a risk. However, our risk was well rewarded. The place only had one other table with guest when we entered. Our server was polite and nice as she took our drink order (we order the Aguas Fresca, Jamaica). I could tell she was tired, but she was still very pleasant. I ordered the Chile Relleno and my wife had the Camarones a la Plancha. I was worried ordering cook-to-order plates like this so close to closing. However, when our food arrived, it was all hot, fresh, and delicious. This is a HUGE positive mark. Any restaurant that can put out great fresh food, minutes before closing, is a true gem!The salsa here is outstanding. Finally a place that make real Mexican salsa that has some BITE to it. There are two bottles of commercial hot sauce provided on the table, and they brought out two bottles of custom in-house hot sauce (both delicious) with our food. So, including the amazing salsa, there were FIVE types of sauce on the table! My Chile Relleno was the best I have ever had. The Jamaica drink was the best I have ever had in Texas. The salsa was right up there as well. This place is Jungle Explorer Approved!

Everything was quite disappointing, the elote was made from canned corn and the Fresas con crema was a strawberrie yogurt with cut strawberries in it. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to be disappointed.

I have eaten here numerous times, but have never left a review until now. This much underrated restaurant must be given its due respect. I have never been disappointed at any given visit. Their food is on par with some of the best tex Mex food places out there. Their mini (street) tacos are delicious. My wife loves their pastor tacos. If you are craving good Mexican food, you must stop by and give them a try.

On the way back to ATX from our extended vacay in Port Aransas, TX, we decided to stop in Seguin, TX for a little late lunch... so glad we did! We found Taqueria and Juicy Fruits on Yelp, and it just off the highway, so not that big of a detour, so we stopped for a late lunch. It's in a strip mall, with painting all over the windows... don't be fooled, it's worth going in!We started with a couple of HUGE ice teas, and the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was fantastic ... a little watery, but the flavor was "all fresh and just made" with a little bit of heat. The chips were thin, and nice and crispy! We ate them up!We followed with menudo and tacos, the tacos were barbacoa, beef and chicken (3 separate tacos). The first observation about the tacos, is that they were stuffed full of meat! No skimping on the portions here! And, very tasty, well-seasoned, served hot off the grill. The menudo was a bit of a disappointment, there was an aftertaste we couldn't identify. The ingredients in the soup were plentiful, the taste was just off (for our palates). They also have special red and green salsas in squeeze bottles that they bring to your table right out of the fridge. Both were good, we liked the green sauce better, bolder with a little heat. The "Juicy Fruits" refer to the desserts ... look at the menu pic!You pay at a register in the back by the kitchen, easy enough. We'd go back if we're in that neighborhood again. Recommend Taqueria and Juicy Fruits, it's worth the hunt to find it!

The owner’s son refused to serve us 25 mins before closing because his girlfriend (the server) told him a firm “no” before I could finish my sentence. I would highly appreciate better service as we used to get from his family.

My Sister and I will NEVER return to this place again! These people are from Mexico and like they do in Mexico they broke the law by copying my sister's Credit/Debit Card Number and paid for my meal in our absence; while I went to get cash since they would not accept checks. A friend of mine from Monterey, Mexico had already told me this happens a lot over there in Mexico. They use customers Credit/Debit ?? Cards to double Charge then they back up the charge and pocket the money ????. If you do plan on going here, make sure to pay Cash cause who knows how much theytip-pocket with your Credit or Debit Card. Also they will charge an extra fee if you use a Card to pay for your meal weather it's a Credit or Debit Card! I plan to file a Report to Better Business Bureau (BBB) Consumers Report. These people Need to learn we have Laws here in the USA and We must have respect and Abide by OUR Laws or else go back to wherever you came from!!Native American Law Abiding Citizen.
