Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.

Nice friendly helpful people. Would come back just for them.Pulled pork was juicy but not fatty. Loved the taste and the sauce to go with it. I had the green beans on the side. Tasted wonderful. Like the little bit of kick they have. Dad had a sausage sandwich. He said it tasted real good. It was amazing how much sausage was stuffed into the buns. Oh and the buns were soft and delicious.
My husband and I looked up this bbq spot and we’re glad we did! Everything we had was delicious! My husband BBQ all the time and he’s never been impressed with any of the BBQ spots we’ve tried! But Big Fred’s was the spot! He said he can’t wait to come back! They didn’t have any beef ribs so that is what we will try next time!

I got the Brisket and Sausage plate with a side of potato salad. My mother-in-laws potato salad is the best but this comes next to hers ?. The brisket was awesome, sausage was delish. The price doesn't scare me off, I'll be back for sure because they know how to smoke a delicious brisket and it's easy on my wallet.
I treated my coworkers to lunch. Everything was delicious! One coworker stated "This was made with love! I taste happiness in each bite!". My other coworker has not stopped humming LOL!!!
Ordered for delivery! On vacation and in town visiting a friend. Noticed the rating of Fred's was pretty good and so gave it a shot. So far only had half my order and I'm more than satisfied! The portions were quite generous for the price! The quality, taste, and freshness were all top notch! Thanks again for another highlight of my vacation!
Stopped by today while in San Antonio and the pork ribs and brisket were awesome. We definitely make it a regular stop while in central Texas.

We got a pulled pork sandwich plate and a smoked turkey sandwich plate to go. Both were delicious! The pulled pork was lean but juicy with good seasoning. Sometimes pulled pork is 25% fat and the bun gets soaked with grease, but not here! The (potato?) bun was soft and fresh. The smoked turkey was a tiny bit dry, but it had such amazing smoke flavor!! Good amount of meat on both sandwiches, you definitely get your money’s worth. We also each got a Mac & Cheese and it was delicious- very flavorful and well seasoned. Big Fred was so nice and there’s a cute little seating area outside if you want to eat there.Honestly, this area is really lacking in decent bbq that isn’t outrageously priced. I hope Big Fred sticks around for a while, I know we’ll be back!
