This is one of the hardest post I've ever made because I love the Slaton Bakery... First, the service is always amazing when I visit and seems they always have a great selection. My only and first ever issue was that I ordered quite a few items one being half a dozen of chocolate donuts, unfortunately, we founds spots of mold on the bottom of the donuts. I did return them and they apologized and gave me different items, but I had to make this post just for everyone to check your items and not just this location but anywhere you may eat. On another note, I'm also disappointed that not all donuts aren't made fresh daily. I purchased my items around 11:45 AM Saturday morning.
What a gem, great service, great food and a terrifically decorated store. Definitely enjoyed stopping in here for lunch. My sandwich was freshly made to order and tasted great. Staff were considerate and helpful. Such a shame this place is so far from home, I’d love to have something like this nearby.

Have seen these at HEB so had to stop into store on beautiful Slaton square and so glad!Such nice folks, put up with our excitement and indecision from the huge selection of wonderful items (just ended getting one of almost everything!) and had samples at the ready.Nothing beats a fresh ‘nilla wafer or ginger snap! So we got loads of both.Get off the highway, get some coffee and a fresh pastry, and sit outside enjoying Slaton.
