Ate lunch there yesterday (3/6/24) with my coworker and both of us really were impressed with the tacos. I had one fajitas taco and one brisket taco and both of them were excellent. Also their chips and salsa are excellent. Nice place, great food, nice atmosphere, and great service.Parking: Front of building.

How have I not discovered this place already? I've lived 15 minutes away for two years! Okay, first of all -- really great tacos! We loved them! They had an amazing variety of options to choose from. They are large and filling. The quality of ingredients was very high. A couple of the tacos came with dedicated sauces, which were both very good, too. The beef on the fajita taco was high quality, juicy and tasty. The birria taco was less fried (healthier) but extremely tasty. Don't miss out on they're guacamole. Best in the county, hands down! And they come with amazing chips. They must dust them with smoked paprika. So delicious. These guys really unlock the flavor! The place was spacious and bright with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a full service bar with a great selection of liquor brands, including some nice single malt scotches such as Laphroig (which is even smokey and peaty for an Islay scotch), and an experienced, friendly, service-oriented bartender. They also have nice beers on tap (including Electric Jellyfish hazy IPA), as well as bottled beers like Model. They also have a great shuffle board table :-) Pro tip: I like corn tortillas and they're healthier, but I recommend the floor tortilla tacos here. This place is generous with fillings, and the flour tortillas hold up better here. You don't want your tortillas falling apart while you munch! So... we'll definitely be back! It's not the only restaurant we like in Smithville. But it's one I'll regularly come back to. And although we really like Taco Tuesday at Chapala in Bastrop with their table-side guacamole, honestly... for tacos, guacamole and a nice drink... this is at least as good if not better! It's a bit more casual but less crowded. It offers equal or better quality ingredients with even more options. I've never had a more perfectly cooked beef in a taco. And here, every day is Taco Tuesday! And as an added bonus - they have live music sometimes. Really nice acts, like Jeff Haney and Barney Slate. I love that!!

First time eating here the food was ok, I ordered a Tortilla soup it wasn't your traditional Tortilla soup it was thick and had a strong flavor of paprika or chili powder and had chicken chunks no cheese and a few chip's. I also ordered a Carne guisada taco it was good, on the side I ordered Cheese, Avacado and Salsa the cheese was extremely salty. A very young man took our order he had wonderful customer service skills, atmosphere was great. Next time I'm in Smithville I will definitely stop to try something different.. I definitely recommend this restaurant.Parking: Plenty of parking

Terrible food, even worse service. Owner screaming at employees in front of us. Cooks don't wear beard or hair coverings.... Needs significant improvement. Surprised to see they're still in business.

Great service and fantastic food. Loads of seating inside and out, with a stage for live performances outside.We got a total of 5 different tacos…each and everyone was delicious! No jokes. Two different beef, 2 chicken and the Hippie (veggie/bean) tacos. Tried both the corn and flour tortillas, again, both yummy, but those corn tortillas were probably the best we ever had. Oh, and they were stuffed! So much meat we should have ordered some chips to help eat all the droppings.So yeah, we will be back!Vegetarian options: Veggie taco on the menu (The Hippie)

While looking up dinner options in the county we came across Carne Lenta and had to give it a try. Service was friendly and sweet, we actually ran into a sweet girl who hosted us at another venue we were happy to see her again. Tacos we delicious, rice and beans were yummy! The ambiance was home town feel too. The only missing star is due to the bartender going behind where the food was being made, she ate something then proceeded to cough in the open food prep area without covering her mouth or moving (big turn off.)

A++++ Everyone treated us like family and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we could possibly want. We spoke to the owner, his wife & his mother, who even made us a hot homemade tortilla for a special treat. The owner invited us into the kitchen to take photos of the briskets he had just taken out of the smokers. What a real freak. Food was amazing; you better bring a healthy appetite cause these are large portions. I highly recommend the dirty nachos with brisket but bring some friends to help eat them because these aren't your normal nachos from your local bar or eatery. These are Texas sized nachos with a taste of Mexico. The carne guisada taco is delicious!! The meat is super tender and the sauce it's cooked in has great flavor. Top it off with their green cream sauce for an added kick of flavor. The pork carnitas taco was extremely tender and juicy. If you're a pork fan, this is a winner. Oh and to top it all off there brew some great iced tea! So hard to find a restaurant that can brew tea well and hold it properly without it going sour or too acidic. They also serve beer and have a full bar attached to the taco garage area, but hey, I was there for an iced cold tea and a Mexican taco on a hot Texas Friday. If you decide to pop in, let them know the two sisters from Pflugerville & Austin said, "Buenos Dias y gracias!!"
