Okay, I'm a first timer here, and to be honest, it was the best experience I've had from a small town. So, coming here, apparently, your tab is based on donations! I was shocked ?I was so conflicted as to how much to pay, so I figured $10 a plate there where three of us so I ended up paying $45 because I had no clue this was a cash only spot. You order your drinks, at the register, and food they give you a number for your server to find your table they come back around and leave you "your check" but it's the order slip, and you pay what you want. I felt so welcomed coming here with my family. The food was amazing, and I do love the story behind it all.Thank youComfort Cafe.*Denisia*

We did not realize that the Comfort Cafe is a non profit when we decided to give it a try. The food was amazing and the portions are very generous. Everything is donation based so you pay what you can. Not only did we enjoy our food but we also were happy to support a local nonprofit. We will definitely be making another trip to Smithville to eat at Comfort Cafe!

They are very popular and very busy. There was a line to order and it took awhile to get our food, but it was worth it. Very good.Parking: Street parking. They were busy and there was an event in the park across the street so we had to park about a block away.Kid-friendliness: There were kids there. They have a kids menu.

This is the place to eat if you're in Smithville. Wanted to play disc golf at River Bend Park and were totally blown away by the food and drink here for a pre game meal. And for the good cause that your donation goes to helping those who need help and those are the folks serving you and feeding you. Will be back!
