Stopped by here for supper on our way to Cypress. The food & service were excellent. My husband got the large chicken fried steak, it was huge, basically 2 chicken fried steaks, he couldn't eat it all. I had the stuffed crab. Both of our meals were really good. If your a vegetarian they have several options listed on the menu. There is something for everyone. We will definitely be back next time we come this way.

Ate here with a large group (20+ people) and the service was still quick despite the chaos. I got the mushroom swiss burger and it was huge with tons of flavor. The atmosphere is great if you're looking for that diner feel. If you're in the area i recommend eating lunch here, they have specials during lunchtime, but they also serve breakfast. The food provides a lot of bang for your buck; you get a ton of food for around $12 depending on what you ordered.Vegetarian options: On the menu there is a dedicated vegetarian section

My pregnant girlfriend and my friend wife both got sick with food poisoning they both ordered the baked potatoes. I tryed to give a polite call to let them know they tried to act like we got it from somewhere else. Mama's kitchen is going downhill fast unfortunately.

Good food , fried food could be drained better a lot of grease makes it to your plate . Waitres's seem to forget a lot of stuff rather quickly 3 different waitres took my drink order before I got it . Prices a little high ordered Pork chop dinner got one very thin small pork chop , had just read a review of another diner that described his pork chop dinner as very large thick juicy pork chop made my mouth water , disappointed me . Seems a lot of places have closed making compition less for customers & restauraunt both . 3 stars .

Our waitress was nice and checked on us often, but she didn't check our food before it came out. 3 out of four plates did not come out as ordered. She would forget that we asked for things like extra napkins or ranch. On a positive note, the food was good, and the restaurant was clean. We visited well past the lunch rush. We'll be back. Everyone has an off day. The food was good enough for a second chance.

Loved it! Food was great, very fair prices and we loved the atmosphere. If we are in the area we will definitely eat here again.
We went on a Sunday right around noon. Table for 3 adults. It’s a seat yourself place. I’m letting you know because it’s busy there around lunchtime. The food was good and about a 15 minute wait. Not bad! The nachos deluxe is a large portion and appropriately covered with cheese and meat. The burger was cooked and dressed as requested. The shrimp Poboy was fresh with great bread and fried shrimp. And the pork chops were spot on. It’s a nice country cooking kitchen! I say, come hungry!

We enjoyed our lunch very much (I had the meatloaf) and will be back for sure. I just wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor seating. But there were a bunch of smokers out there.Parking: Very convenient to Hwy. 36
A little over priced. My husband got the “steak bites” and just so y’all know that’s a hamburger patty! That’s right they should call it a hamburger steak. A tad bit misleading. I got the chicken fried steak. It was decent. The potatoes were absolutely horrible! Bland mushy potatoes. The toast was not great either. It was cooked on the grill with oil. Mmmmm not the best. The amount of food for what you spend is good but quality not really there.
